I feel so embarrassed about this, because I'm 25 and everyone else in the cinema was under 18, but it was AMAZING.
I have seen the first one, but this was at least ten times more fun.
I'm a sucker for a singing/dancing movie with a big sing/dance performance at the end and this was perfectly cheesy. If you like Sister Act, Bring it On, Dirty Dancing, Get Over It etc etc then I would highly recommend.

Sadly, I managed to catch the first one. The only thing stopping me from walking out after 10 minutes was the hot lead actor.

I saw Step Up in Russia, where it's called "Shag vperiod". Or if you want to say Step up 1, it's "Pervy shag vperiod". I actually enjoyed it, the lead actor is hot and I think he features in this one too. The dancing was impressive, at least.

God this was BRILLIANT! The dancing was amazing, the guy was hot and it was supremely cheesy and hilariously 'street'.
I'm off to start a crew.....

When I saw the ads for this on TV I was annoyed by the way the voiceover man said "Step Up 2: The Streets" as I thought there was no Step Up 1 so surely it's Step Up To The Streets but written in a way that's down wit da kidz. Then I looked on IMDb and realised there was indeed a Step Up! Ha! Totally passed me by. They both look crap.
