Not wishing to sound mean, but would anyone really notice Speak 'n' Spell, ever? She's not ugly, but the sort of person who attracts the attention of strangers in the street just by standing there? Hardly.

A warning for C4 viewers - the post credits bit on tomorrow's (today's E4) ep was very disturbing and is not recommended for those with a sensitive disposition.

It's official. I love Michaela. I LOVE HER. Sure, she's got no taste in men, but that DANCING, and her rivalry with Speak'n'Spell ("Okay. Let's. Have. A. Sing. Off.") win her a place in my heart forever. Fingers crossed she will bitch slap Sasha ("...Ow."), take over the Baby Diegos, turn it into a giant marketing machine starring herself and go solo as the Other Ones battle with respective addictions (and maybe Josh has to retire and make cheese on a farm out in the country like Alex James from Blur). No one else is as fab as her at the moment. In fact, I can't even remember what happened for the rest of the episode. Thank you for posting real!hollyoaks. xx

To be fair, she was dressed up as Foxy Cleopatra when the guy fancied her so maybe he thought Beyonce had started a Performing Arts Degree at the Mandy Richardson University of Chester.

Back to Slabface on today's/yesterday's whatever episode. We get the picture she's a sloan, but the bit when she had to empty the drip trays was stupid. Even the most precious and stuck-up bitch wouldn't mind getting a bit of beer on their hands. She was holding it like it had piss in it. She probably makes a guy wear a condom for a hand job.

Whole sloany concept is rubbish. If she was that sloaney, she would not be at some POXY community college in a provincial town, she would either have done resits to get better grades to go somewhere else, trained as one of those uniformed nannies from an ad in The Lady or something, or found someone rich to marry.
I was back in Chester at the weekend and sloane city it aint! More like chav camp. The whole place would be divoid of population if there were no hair straighteners, fake tan or men who liked large thighs.

Can I just ask-since when did Darren and Fletch become such good mates. I don't think I've ever seen them in the same room and all of a sudden Darren's giving him relationship advice!
Also, having Sasha or Michaela singing a song called "AmyJosh4eva" is a bit odd. Shouldn't it be called "MichaelaFletchforever" instead?

I think Darren's fell into the advice-giving bartender mould.
Even if he isn't in the bar at the moment.

She pretend that she is posh but she is clearly filth (and not in a good way) as her main man conquests during her Hollyoaks career have been Gilly (who I do admittedly now fancy a bit but who still looks like he has mange or some other vile fungal disease) and Rubbish Tranny. AND she let Rubbish Tranny do her without a condom almost resulting in her getting the AIDS.

I don't understand how Slabface can think that bar work is gross and beneath her when she worked as a waitress for ages. I've done both, and waitress was definitely worse.
The lesbian undertones between Hannah and Melissa were very period drama. And Melissa’s gritted teeth poshness and the swooning makes me think she should have died of consumption or something.
E4:
I liked Plankton telling Darren to "go to your quiet place". I'm going to have to start saying that.
Question: Melissa was hospitalised after fainting, and assuming that not everyone in the Cheshire NHS is entirely useless, at some point one of the hospital staff must have been all "oh hay, she can has anorexia?" So wouldn't they have been feeding her intravenously or something? She did seem exceptionally frail for someone who ought to have been at least a little bit strengthened from a week in hospital with presumably caring medical professionals monitoring her food intake, or am I expecting too much of the national health service?
Other than that, though, it was very well done, I thought. Some very nice wailing from Emma Rigby during the death scene, as well.
In answer to laine's question:
I noticed that too, but I'm assuming Melissa's tribute-of-sorts was the lack of a jaunty post-credits sequence, or indeed any post-credits sequence at all.
Fletch's post-coital face scared me. He looked like when anyone dies from Joker gas in Batman.
I hope they rectify the credits for the Channel 4 airing as switching from That Song From The End Of Lost In Translation to the theme tune killed the mood faster than an anorexic's heart attack. Did anyone else think EnablerBint's death was largely caused by Rhys? One minute he's yelling and manhandling her then she dies. Add that on the list of his offenses.
I read on an American girl's blog that she wrote an angry letter to the Hollyoaks producers saying that, while she hadn't seen any of the episodes and the show was being supported by BEAT, she was very upset at how they'd treated the subject matter. Erm, you're a idiot.

I cried a bit when Enabler died. Just a little bit. I think it was Hannah's anguished sobs- it hadn't occurred to me just how crushing Enabler's death would be for her. I don't like bad things happening to Hannah.
Rhys and Slabface are clearly vying for the 'biggest cunt in the show award'. I don't know which one of them is fucking me off more- Slabface with her 'bar work is beneath me' schtick (I'm working in the pub next door to my house at the mo, and Barmaiding is much more fun than scraping dirty plates and arguing with customers over their steaks) or Rhys with his 'no one has been through more than me this year' line. Oh really? So your Dad didn't turn out to be your real Dad? Your little sister's developed a potentially fatal mental illness for Christ's sake.
The thing that annoys me most is that Rhys keeps saying, 'oh Hannah just wants attention'. Well, yeah. That's not the only contributing factor but if the people around her had paid attention to her for the past year she might not have developed such low self esteem in the first place. Since the Ashworthless clan have come into the show Rhys has dominated his parent's attention (mainly through being a Prize Twunt, might I add); he should let his little sister get the support she needs.
You see what I mean about thinking Hannah's a real person? I've got a problem, seriously.

Im really hoping that Hollyoaks will now go to the other extreme and provide us with a Gilly/Rhys "feeder" storyline, where Gilly has to wipe the arse of a bed sore riddled 36 stone Rhys.

E4:
Loved Plankton treating Darren as if she's Supernanny. Hated Darren reminding Slabface that she shagged Rubbish Tranny - isn't it bad enough that he's coming back soon, can't we enjoy our last blissful Trannyless moments without hearing his name?
So if Enablerbint was so annoyed with Hannah for not having her passport with her, presumably she'd brought her own? She was very well-prepared - "Oh I'd better carry my passport with me at all times in case I collapse suddenly in an alleyway, get taken to hospital and need to escape to a different country in a hurry." Too bad her prescience didn't extend to getting a pacemaker fitted, just in case.
I've not seen Hollyoaks for aaaaages, but I just want to say how much I wish Gilly would get a haircut. He's not nearly as hideously ugly as I've been thinking, but his hair makes me want to vom on my own shoes.

So apparently the guy who won Big Brother has a potential appearance on Hollyoaks:
Blah, the link won't work. It's on hollyoaks.com, latest news story (4th September).
