Are any of the participents markedly happy or angry about how they have been treated? Quoting La Coxall: 'I'm tempted to go with "mildly amused by the whole thing", which since it provided a small amount of largely irrelevant entertainment for my family, friends and colleagues, and nothing more, seems about right.'

Shame that the people on this site are largely well educated and far from peasants. Hmm, I somehow doubt you have access to everyone's academic and socioeconomic profiles. At least, that wasn't required information when I registered. And what's wrong with being a peasant, anyway?

And after being on here for 3 years you get to know the fellow posters, and I have met a number of them. I think Martin is the one who has a problem with peasants.

And with definitions.
It is not a state of mind! It is a soci-economic condition prevalent in pre-industrial society.

Nah, he just saw this was a web-based forum: '... they are the Internet's own Special Needs Schools.' Which is understandable; such places are set up for those who can't handle their own HTML. brass.cream.org/archive/feb2007/mail5.htmlHmm. I wonder what that's doing there. -- MHW

and that people can also be hateful because they are in fact jelouse. I missed this show, is Louise a 12 year old Westlife fan? Endemol the makers of BIG BROTHER, edit this,to make us look even fatter!! I know Endemol has some ingenious methods of TV manipulation but weight-increasing cameras is one that I missed out on. Is there a live streaming where we see you all as really being size 10s? When someone says the camera adds 10lbs they didn't mean 10lbs per camera.

Proletarian is also a rather meaningless insult. I would hazard a guess that none of us is a nineteenth century wage slave or a lower class Roman, and that we do not in any way resemble them. Either way Martin, you are a obese, insensitive and most probably socially retarded man more worthy of our pity than our condemnation. Let that be an end to it.

Hmm I can't find the Teen thread so I'll just carry on here.
I really like Rory Munro, the caring lad from Fife. The staff are way too soft on the kids though. I would have went mental at that silly girl for not drinking any water and virtually dying (was it merely a cunning ploy to get some Coke though?). Regarding the kid's disdain of rice and tapioca, I'd just employ the principle of "if they're hungry, they'll eat it". What was the deal with the rotten fish secreted in the girls' room? Was it intended as a snack for later?

I have been watching this show yeah its awesome but what spoiled people... I would hope that they will be more understanding about their bodies and that when they get home that they listen to their bodies... The show I watched two guys went home leaving 5 people 1 man 4 women... Yeah if you're not use to the food then it taste bad. Theses people grew up on this subsistence living... I do hope the guys that left will be able to keep off the weight. Thank you

I never watched this show, so this thread completely passed me by.
Thank you Steve for highlighting it on the homepage for making me hysterical at work on a Tuesday morning.
