I went to school with Blackpool Nancy! How intense was she! But I could totally imagine her as Nancy....
Her or dead dad nancy nancy of course.
p.s. I loved 'I KNOW MY CRAFT'

One of the Olivers has my jumper! I hate seeing kids wearing my clothes.
I'm quite scared by Honky Basset. She looks like an 80s lesbian.
Why did one of the vox pops have a mangy dog's head in her handbag?
Edit: ahahaha is one of them really called Queefer?

I'm watching this just now and LOVING it. I may even watch it again.
I'm going to second trixie and say how much I did like Blackpool Bridget Jones Nancy and Actual Nancy Nancy.
I wasn't sold on Posh Nancy but not even Barrowman's Craft™ can argue with a Dickens reference. EDIT - Until fifty two minutes in where he was just said to someone else 'You're a young girl...Nancy is a woman'
At first I was rooting for Little Mermaid Nancy but when you get sent out for an hour for a second chance, don't come back and sing exactly the same song please.
I would be perfectly happy to see only the empathic/compassionate/ gets results casting director just sit with ALW through the whole process - imagine an ego free panel where you don't feel like the phrase:
'I mean, obviously I could do it better' is going to follow every sentence.
I'm very interested in how Barry Humphries is going to fit in to a show like this - obviously he has a slew of stage credits but I wonder how the dynamic will go.

Did anyone else see Katie Rowley "Nessarose from Wicked" Jones - the one that Graham asked Andrew whether she would be disregarded for being "too professional"? I was looking out for the obvious plant this time round and i must have blinked and missed her. I did enjoy the show but there is something so creepy about 50 stage school brats all in one room with their £30 mop top hair cuts from Tony and Guy that really disturbs me. The Welsh Oliver acting was so hilarious!!! It was my definete highlight- i hope he makes it to the finals.

I was especially peturbed by one who had the exact same haircut as Elisabeth Sladen. Nancywise, I actually quite liked Cleopatra Nancy, although I did wonder what witchcraft was afoot that allowed her to be apparently the same age as her mum. BTW - Caoimhe is pronounced "Queeva"?! I used to know one who pronounced it "Keevy". How odd.

My friend called her little boy Rauriadh (Scottish for Rory) attached to a double barrelled surname with more Rs making it sound like a tongue twister, then criticised a friend for choosing to call their daughter, Cardigan (I think after the Bay, not the garment).

The best bit was at the call-backs, when the first Nancy got put out and someone said "Well, that's one more space left for us."

Most hilarious moment: John Barrowman telling a just-eliminated Nancy "I know my craft."

I was at Uni with a girl with that name, except she spelt it Derbhlagh. I think she was doing it just to be an almighty cunt, which would be perfectly within character for her.

Of course, we should expect one of the 'not quites' that are eliminated next week from Nancy school to turn up at ALW's office and demand to be able to sing for him again. He will then put at least one of them though.
Cynical? Moi?

Shame he didn't say "i know a nancy when i see one.." To continue my monotonous list of Irish names wot are pronounced different than they're spelled - Conchuir - Cruthor Eimear - Emer Eamonn - Amon. Darragh - dara Tadhg - Ty-ag Daithi - doh-he Seamus - shame-us grainne - graw-nnna. Adopt a name for Paddy's day, feed it spuds and whiskey. Lets not get into pronouciation of Irish names! I am from Donegal where Irish pronounciation is different to the rest of the country for eg Grainne- Granya Roisin- Rawsheen Anyway, if "I'd do anything" achieved nothing more than stimulting this strange topic of conversation, I think it can still be called a sucess.

That'll be the plant then. (Actually, she was quite good in Rent: Remixed, despite the things being awful overall).

' Maybe we should have an Oliver sweepy as well. If there's a sweepstake for this it should be in Lottery format. You choose one Nancy and 3 bonus Olivers!

We should just do a randomly assigned sweepy

That'll be the plant then. (Actually, she was quite good in Rent: Remixed, despite the things being awful overall). She's got my vote if she makes it to the finals. She and Leon Lopez were the only redemptive factors in that otherwise thoroughly wasted evening.

I think the only way we are going to get through this series without murderous rage taking over is to watch this video during every episode and skip to 02:40
How did your craft feel when the audience gasped in horror John?
On a sidenote, I somehow managed to completely blank out the fact he was on this. Sorry to those who had managed to do the same.

Well I never. I've just been to Waitrose for my Saturday morning goodies, and the front page of the South Wales Echo had a story about Nancy on the front page, so I turned over to page 3 and there was only a picture of Graham and all fucking twelve of them. I was very good and didn't look closely at any of the faces. I won't spoiler anything I saw except to say that take as guess as to why it was on the front page of a WELSH newspaper. Go on, guess!

Warning! The BBC Entertainment News pages has them on too. Fortunately when I went there was no image on the Ent news front page story so I don't know who's in, but I think today is going to be one of those 'hide your eyes' from all internet and news sources days.

So who's organising the sweepstake and is it going to be random or chosen?
I've seen the picture in the newspaper already but I haven't a clue who's who at this point anyway.

I did inadvertantly see the picture of the 12 Nancys. Interesting...
Well, I've run the past two sweepstakes in which I've been involved. I am quite happy to sit back and let someone else take charge of this one. However, if nobody wants to, I suppose I'll volunteer.
I don't mind about random or choosing. With 'Any Dream Will Do', we chose our sweepy...

I'll run it, I'm feeling charitable today.
We will allocate on outfit colour. Do not look at the photo before picking outfit colour (although some will have already seen it).
As I am not cheating, I am guessing the colours based on Maria and Joseph...
Red - Bungle (plus bonus Oliver #8) Orange - Becky (plus bonus Oliver #4) Light Yellow - Knobbing the Dead (plus bonus Oliver #10) Dark Yellow - Rad (plus bonus Oliver #1) Light green - Paul (plus bonus Oliver #11) Dark green - Jetsetwilly (plus bonus Oliver #2) Light blue - timydamonkey (plus bonus Oliver #3) Dark blue - Joel (plus bonus Oliver #6) Turquoisey greeny-bluey colour - Muinimula (plus bonus Oliver #5) Light Purple - Junky (plus bonus Oliver #12) Dark Purple - LoveMusic (plus bonus Oliver #7) Pink - Fifi Hernandez-Shuttleworth (plus bonus Oliver #9)
If your colour is not present, you will be given whatever other colour is used instead.
Apply now.
First twelve applicants get a bonus randomly allocated Oliver.
I am taking dark yellow Nancy.
