It pains me immensely to be criticising Neighbours but what the FUCK?
Rob is not in a coma. He has his eyes closed. Unless he's got some weird ability, learned from an Indian fakir when no-one knew where he was, to self-induce a coma, in which case he is truly the greatest villain ever. If he's got normal brain scans, slap him. Burst the aforementioned balloon by his head. Chuck a glass of water in his face. WAKE HIM UP.
Ooh, a wee bit of Ramsay Street post-modernism from Izzy! How exciting.

And can I also just say that surely they could tell that the real Cameron had been in a coma for two months!!! He wouldn't just wake up an be fine!!! Surely they do some sort of health check?

Quite.
More to the point, isn't Rob going to be awfully hungry by now?

This is neighbours- we need not be concerned about such trivialities! The important thing is Gail is back and I see the potential for fab bitch fights between her and Izzy.

The important thing is Gail is back and I see the potential for fab bitch fights between her and Izzy. Is Gail 1 of The 'all mixed up' Twins? We didn't want this to be true, as we don't think she's aged that well, which seems like a blasphemous thing to say. I do apologise. She did have some marvelous lines that made me laugh, wish I could remember them, but when she read out each drama relating to her family members I thought she was awesome for betraying all signs of knowing-irony - the way soaps should be. I've only recently started watching again. I caught Susans' bizarre not-quite 3-way telepathic communication and was stunned. And does Boyd take his top off often, or just once every episode?

As I discovered this morning, Gail was not one of the twins, that was Caroline and Christina.

Ahh, Caroline and Christina. They should've brought them back, and not this Gail character who I don't really remember and who I don't like very much. Now that she's here we're obviously meant to hate Izzy again, but I won't do it! Izzy is queen.

Gail was a stern business woman who married Paul in some kind of a business deal before actually falling in love with him. I haven't checked that as fact, it's from the misty bit of my brain that remembers trivial soap facts. She was before those crazy twins!
She hasn't changed much at all.

Younger readers should note that it is FORBIDDEN to criticise Gail in any way. She is one of the greatest Neighbours characters of all time. In her day, she was such a majestic force in the series that her wardrobe received its own credit in the end titles.

I actually think she's aged pretty well EDIT: I tried to explain in an email to a friend in the US who's been away for 8 montjhs what's been happening in recent weeks and why Gail has returned. Not as easy a task as one might think.

'Fiona Corke's Wardrobe Supplied by KAMIZOLE' There was never a more majestic sight than Gail in huge gold earings and hair bands. It was just like Punky Brewster.

It's at times like this that I miss the BBC website's character background articles.

One thing that scares me is that I would like to think of myself as a 'younger reader' but I do remember her from first time round which is worrying. Maybe I wasn't old enough to appreciate her full impact...even of her wardrobe!

IVF!! The triplets are IVF babies! That makes so much more sense. Thank you, perfectblend.net.

IVF!! The triplets are IVF babies! That makes so much more sense. Thank you, perfectblend.net. I think it's perfectly normal for a set of triplets to consist of an idential pair plus a non-identical one, whether IVF is involved or not. Identical triplets are much less common.

How does the evil and/or gay twin theory apply to triplets? Is one nice, one evil and one gay?

I am beginning to think Dr Karl may have a bit of a dom/sub fetish going on. My suspicions were first aroused (as it were) when he quite loved walking around in the leather trousers, but confirmed when Katya kept on calling him Dr Kennedy. Now, I am actually quite the expert on hosipitals being a heart surgeon having watched many, many episodes of ER, Scrubs and even House. And nurses do NOT call the doctors "Dr Surname" especially when they live with the former wife of said Dr. This shows startling lack of knowledge on behalf of the Neighbours' scriptwriting team.
I was also annoyed that everyone spoke into Boyd's stethoscope when it was clearly glued to the side of his head, not his ears.

As I discovered this morning, Gail was not one of the twins, that was Caroline and Christina. But in 'real' life the one of the twins was called Gail, the other was Gillian. Gail and Gillian Blakeney even had a hit (No.64) single with Wanna Be Your Lover in 1994! The real Gail was way before then Remember her suprise weddingto Paul? just before Scott and Charlene got hitched, and when Mrs Mangle had amnesia and then though everyone liked her.

Two eggs released simultaneously? AND one of them splits? I'm sure you're right, but I'm going to cling to my comforting the belief that it was the IVF wot dun it. Gail needs more gold earrings and purple blouses. I miss her old wardrobe.

Markymark I do get your point about the fact she lives with his ex wife but in Holby they are still quite formal and it tends to be second names dr Griffen (lola not rik how is a mr), mrs beachump etc and the nurses tend to be referred to as 'nurse' williams- for example.
