The ending was shit though. Meg waking up and it was all a dream. Why oh why did they cancel it? It shits all over any show on TV now. Ah, but it wasn't a dream. She woke up back in Kansas and everyone from Sunset Beach were different characters (Annie and Olivia were bickering maiden aunts) but then she woke up again and she was in bed with Ben. Meg: Was it... was it all just a dream? Ben: No Meg, the dream's just beginning... Classic

Sunset Beach is actually returning to Channel 5 from September. It was mentioned in The Sun on Tuesday, and to confirm it was true I emailed Five and got this response...
Thank you for your recent e-mail.
Yes, it's true, Sunset Beach will be returning to Five.
We have received so many enquiries since the programme ended that due to popular demand, we have decided to buy the rights again and repeat the programme weekdays from Episode 1, starting on 6th September at 10.30.
Thank you for your interest in Five. Yours sincerely VIEWER ADVISOR

Absolutely amazing news. I hope they have the omnibus on Saturdays for Sunset Beach athletes to sit through the entire marathon viewing. 10.30 on weekdays is a little annoying.
I can't wait to record every single episode for safe keeping! It's THAT good that I am seriously going to do this.

Really?! Is that true?
I loved Sunset Beach soooo much. One of my favourite bits was when Francesca's dead body fell out of the cake but the best moment was obviously when the bottle of champagne smashed against the statue thing caused the discovery of the dead body and you saw the cement saw of gurgling it's way apart.
Quality. Although I've totally forgotten whose body it was.

It was Tim Truman's body.

I think my favourite was the ridiculous Jerry Springer fantasy and the Rrrrrrrrrrrrricarddddo/Priest/Woman love triangle. If only because their mother had comedy flashbacks of teaching them to share their toys, and then shook her enourmous new age jewellry in disgust at what wasgoing on.

Meg's sister used to have those strange telly-inspired daydreams didn't she?!

Meg's sister used to have those strange telly-inspired daydreams didn't she?! Yes she certainly did! Genius. Not as genius as Annie's psychotic baby snatching dreams though. Sept 6th can't come soon enough!
