I think Jo wished that she'd done a bit more back-pedalling when everyone else(jade, danielle) was trying to save themselves by becoming chummy to Shilpa. Jo realised the enormity of what people felt against her when all at once(as if staged?) when davina talked to them she could hear chanting of 'get jo out'. Dannielle heard it as well while Ian was like 'No I didn't hear anything.' I'm guessing that Dannielle will realise a bit of what has happened and try and be even even nicer to Shilpa for the next two days. I hope Jermaine wins for my money(i got the worst odds when i put 50p on him at 18-1) but if Shilpa wins I'll be happy(14-1 50p) 50p? Isn't that a bit much to be risking?

I may be wrong, but I think Davina just said on BBLB that the first two housemates get evicted TOGETHER tonight. Meaning Jack and Danielle, obviously. Cos they couldn't evict Danielle on her own, right? Insert angry face here.

jack-worst best bits ever.and if they'd evicted him alone it would have been the worst interview ever.
davina wasn't hard enough on either of them.
I read in one of the papers that the advice danielle got off her agent included 'dont get in with a bitchy gang of girls', 'dont be racist' and 'dont go on about teddy all the time'.did well there, didn't she?

No, Davina wasn't hard enough on either of them. Jack may well be 'shy' but he really does have less personality than a plank of wood. But, if Danielle as rumoured has indeed lost a couple of lucrative modelling contracts and been dumped by the footballer boyfriend, I think that will be justice for her of a sort.

Davina was nowhere near hard enough on Danielle. This is probably because Danielle was automatically remorseful, apologised and genuinely seemed shocked. Jo didn't handle her interview particularly well. She acted as though the whole thing was down to editing and that she was the wronged party.
So Shilpa has won. Meh. She was no more or less interesting than any of the others.
I bet Big Brother are DELIGHTED. Obviously, big brother cannot be racist because Shilpa won. And Jermaine came second.
So it's all over.
I think it was all a bit shit, really.

When they showed the film task earlier and Danielle had her wig on, she looked the spitting image of Christine Cagney.
And with regards to her being "let off" by Davina, she was told that her behaviour was considered racist and offensive, and she acknowledged it and has said she'll change.
If everyone was shown how twattish they can be after a few drinks, or when in the company of more dominating personalities, or simply when just being themselves, then I'm sure the world would be a nicer place.

THis big brother was rather dull over all wasn't it? I mean I know it had a huge international incident but generally it wasn't that interesting. Most of the highlights show was made up of tiny segments then another tiny segments very little of it was big long sections.

I dunno, I'm a wee bit pissed and I feel ultra hormonal (periods and all that stuff) and have spent the last couple of hours boo hooing for various reasons. Leaving aside my personal issues let's go on to say that at the moment, in my gushy booze fueled haze, I feel proud of Britain right now. Yay, the last 3 were foreigners. That's because we, as a country, do not support flatulent, racist, ignorant wankers. Regardez as we love Dirk for his dry humour and accurate assessment of Cleo and Danielle. Look, we heart Jermaine and his calm wisdom, and ultimately we rewarded Shilpa for her beauty, intelligence, magnanimity, grace and poise. Please do not believe that we were in any way represented by the arse wipes that were in the house. Ken, Donnie, Leo and Carole were more "us" than those who remained. We too despised Jack, Jade and Jo, we thought Cleo desperate and Danielle thick and insulting. We were rooting for wisdom to triumph over racist small mindedness. Yay, hurrah, pat on the back for us. Shilpa was lovely when she came out, and her face on seeing the racist footage was ultra sad. Still she made very clear the fact that she didnt consider Jade a racist. The nation whips itself into a fury, and I can't help but feel at once sucked in and repelled.
Also I understood Ian completely when he said that he didn't feel equipped to deal with all the hostility. Who would? Facing Jackiey and Jade is nothing I have ever had to deal with, thankfully.
Cheap thrills eh?

I too found myself getting a little teared up too.
I was really pleased to see Shilpa one and that she did it with such easy grace. I felt proud of my fellow countrymen and women who made a stand against racism and bullying.
Also, FINALLY a non-white person has one BB!

Ken, Donnie, Leo and Carole were more "us" than those who remained. Well I wouldn't say they're particularly positive examples of British people either... Shilpa was great. Not just because of how dignified she was when confronted with the whole situation that had been going on in the outside world, but with how funny she was. She did bring some much needed fun, which it has been severely lacking with the controversy- and yes, with it being such a dull series overall.

No, they aren't, but they do show a variation and an intellect that was missing in those left. Well, I thought so anyway. Like I say, I am a bit over boozed and emotional. You're my besht friends etcetera.

I read in one of the papers that the advice danielle got off her agent included 'dont be racist' and 'dont go on about teddy all the time'.did well there, didn't she? Well if that's true you'd have to wonder why someone would need to be told "don't be racist." Davina was nowhere near hard enough on Danielle. This is probably because Danielle was automatically remorseful, apologised and genuinely seemed shocked. Which I'd be more convinced by had she not started all this when she was first called into the Diary Room and been more careful since then but still couldn't stop herself making bitchy comments about Shilpa and Dirk when he became the next target. Danielle was just thinking about her perception on the outside, same as Jade was, Danielle's main apology to Shilpa came only after Jade had been evicted to no crowd. Saying that there are better ways to dump someone than Teddy has, I was surprised no-one from the audience shouted out that he'd dumped her. I quite liked Jo's interview. Unlike Danielle & Jade's it was the interview of someone who didn't have a career to go back to so didn't care what they said. I never thought I'd see one of the three slagging off Davina for giving Jade an easy time, Endemol for briefing Jade beforehand and for still insisting they didn't like Shilpa unlike the others to whom Shilpa has suddenly become a best friend for some reason. THis big brother was rather dull over all wasn't it? I mean I know it had a huge international incident but generally it wasn't that interesting. Most of the highlights show was made up of tiny segments then another tiny segments very little of it was big long sections. And yet potentially it was one of the best which was totally ruined by Endemol sodding about with the format again and thinking they were cleverer than their audience and more interesting than their housemates. Sticking Jade & her clan in for some kind of self-promotion meant we lost Donny & Ken pretty much instantly, had to endure Jade's mother who had even less redeeming qualities than her daughter and had around 3/4 of the highlights show dedicated to them, firstly because they were the real "stars" and then because of what happened with Shilpa. Dirk was one of the funniest housemates ever yet no-one saw it. Cleo however wasn't, nobody missed much there aside from how much she really hated Dirk, though if you watched BBBM you'd have got a slight clue. Still she made very clear the fact that she didnt consider Jade a racist. I don't consider Jade a racist (though she is still a bully) and believe her when she said Shipa Poppadom was just her trying to think of something Indian as to what Shilpa's surname could be. But I wish Davina had asked Shilpa if she felt the same about "that's why Indians are skinny" Jo and "she should fuck off home" Danielle. Same as she avoided the whole issue with Jermaine (who was the one housemate who firmly insisted it was racist) on the basis he might give answers that they'd like not for us to hear. So anyway its all over, Endemol will have learnt nothing and will try and fill BB8 with more OTT personalities, try and create as much conflict as possible and deny anything is wrong if anyone in the house is murdered and tomorrow there will be queues of people trying to get auditioned to go into the house and probably be surprised when they come out to find they've been either edited to fuck or ignored completely.

How rude was Jermaine to Shilpa just before he left the house?! He didn't hug her or congratulate her or anything. It was so obvious he thought he was going to win! Even Jason in BB5 congratulated Nadia when she beat him..

It was slightly embarrassing when Davina said "You have 30 seconds to say goodbye" and he took about 3. The rest of the time he was just stood in front of the exit looking uncomfortable.
His face was at maximum waxiness in his interview. I think he must be an animatronic, operated by men in white coats from Epcot.

Shilpa's big speech about what she thought of all the 'racism' was so class. I'm not sure that anyone who heard that could have doubted that she clearly deserved win. Quality.

Did anyone see the final Big Mouth? I found it more than a bit uncomfortable to watch for a number of reasons. Jade, Danielle, Jo, and Jackiey weren't there, but Jack was. Some of the "celebrities" (non-house-mate) and normal audience members kept slagging off Jade calling her ugly and stuff, with Jack sitting right there. Some morons kept shouting he should leave Jade, which I didn't t like.
Then there was the exchange of insults between Dirk and Cleo, mainly from the latter it must be said, Dirk didn't sink as low as her.
Steve Amos (I think that's his name) said a lot of unfunny shit as he does on everything he is ever on.

I must say I was also a bit confused by Jermaine's exit. He said well done to Shilpa, but I don't remember him giving her a hug. He just stood by the door for ages.
Ah well. Shilpa was a deserved winner. It was awful to see the look on her face when she saw the clips of what the others had said behind her back, but she was very forgiving. I agree Davina could have pushed her further for a reaction, and why she didn't bring racism up with Jermaine was a bit suspect.
And who would have thought that Ian would be the only British celebrity to come out of the show in a good light? Bravo.

Ken emerged from the whole thing with a lot of dignity, I think, but his stay in the house seems like years ago now.

I read today that Danielle's lawyers have asked to see the footage from the house because she thinks she's been misrepresented. Give it up, love.

I read today that Danielle's lawyers have asked to see the footage from the house because she thinks she's been misrepresented. Give it up, love. "footage from the house"= all the bitching Danielle did that wasn't shown to the general public on the highlights show. If I were you Danielle the less people see that footage the better.
