I'm afraid that I stopped watching Big Brother years ago. I think I stopped watching during series 3 (?) when the housemates were playing musical chairs for a task and thought to myself "This is a bit crap really."
Yes, I know I'll get my coat after posting this..
But I was just thinking back to when the series first started and was essential viewing and I was wondering if anyone knew what some of the contestants from those first two series were up to now...
Anna was easily my favourite.
And what about Mel, Caroline, Darren, Nick, Sada...
And Helen, Paul, Dean, Elizabeth, Penny, Narinder etc.
Any info. at all?

Anna remains my favourite Big Brother housemate to this day. She was great. She only lost by 2% to Craig!
I think she still gets very minor TV presenting work in Ireland, but I can't be sure.

Alison spends her mornings mauling A list films stars. Alison has (possibly) had the best career of all the BB's. She's not conventionally attractive so wasn't forced into a fake boobs role. But she is personable and smiley and smart and naturaly likeable. I wonder why the later female contestants are usually aspiring towards a tits out kind of media career rather than a less naked one. I love where are they now's. It was thrilling to hear that Mel and Alex were a couple, but they have split up. Tom and Clare had a baby but then split as well. |

Has anyone been watching the 'what happened to the housemates' thing on e4? Its being repeated a few times on e4 and c4 over the next few days. It just reminded me how vile everyone in BB6 (except Eugene) really was.
Nick Bateman looks incredibly rough these days. And Marco has hair!
Edit: Oh. I did not need to be reminded how wrong they got BB7. Far too many bloody housemates.

Yes - famously no-one turned up to a signing she had in WH Smith. Not that this is a sign of low quality - I once saw Michael Sheard sitting by himself in a Waterstones while promoting his book, so even the best have been overlooked. |

There was a programme on C4 this morning about the fates of all seven series of housemates. I missed the first series recap but most of series 2 seemed to be doing quite well for themselves.
Most of them have gone back to their previous jobs or used their varying degrees of success to change their careers into something they'd always considered but never got around to doing - Bubble is now an actor and Dean is an interior designer. Josh's face looked quite odd, as if he's had surgery or an addiction to crystal meth, or both.

I guess the editors cottoned on that no one was remotely interested because after about 7 or 8 issues he was never seen again. |
