Crossdressing seems to be a recurring theme in Doctors - I remember some bloke with painful feet because he couldn't get large ladies' shoes.

Today's episode was full of the gays. Admittedly gays who didn't want to be gay, and wanted God to cure them, but still...lots of regretful "gay behind the eyes" moments to enjoy.

More Doctors alternative lifestylism in yesterday's episode, in which an upper-middle-aged man revealed his secret life as a furry to his GP and wife, and talked about his weekly trips to the local FurFest ("Jack from the garage, he's a raccoon, and Mrs Windsor from the bakery's a fox", etc). And dressed up as a big white rabbit just to illustrate the point.
Quite liked the seemingly tolerant and enlightened wife's overenthusiastic but feeble attempt to get into the spirit of the thing with a reindeer hat she found in a box of Christmas decorations, and then her big, long sigh after her husband left the room and she realised that this was something she'd have to put up with for the rest of her married life.
Elsewhere, frowny Archie frowned a lot, so it was great.

Surely a GP isn't allowed such odd blue hair.

'Doctors' really was my favourite soap, but since all the characters left in the one week, leaving just Mrs Tembe on reception, I can't get into it again.

I couldn't agree more. Doctors has been on a downward spiral since everyone left around the one time. I miss Zara the most and can't wait for Elizabeth Dermot-Walsh to return from maternity leave. I never really liked Cherry but would take her over any of the new characters. I do like Chris and Emma best of the newbies, though and think the storyline with Chris's dad/Emma's husband's stroke the only watchable part of the show at the moment. And everything to do with Mandy and that stupid fucking farm the absolute worst. Although, thankfully that seems to be over this week.
Also, controversial opinion ahoy: I can't stand Mrs. Tembe.
