Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham are at war over plans for the Spice Girls reunion tour, according to a report.
Earlier this week, Halliwell suggested that the girls should perform some of their solo hits at the forthcoming concerts, but Posh is determined to veto the idea.
Victoria has been backed by Mel B, but Geri is receiving support from Mel C and Emma Bunton, who are keen to take part in a solo section.
An insider told the Sunday Mirror: "Geri is pushing to sing her stuff and she's arguing they have two hours to fill and fans want to hear the solo hits.
"Victoria is adamant she'll not do it and is digging her heels in. She says that, when she signed up, one stipulation was that she will not sing solo. The others are split."
I can understand why Mel B wouldn't want solo spots but Victoria would positively shine doing Out Of Your Mind and Let Your Head Go, or even a stripped down accoustic version of A Mind Of Its Own.

I'd seriously love for her to do My Love Is For Real, it would sound great loud with all the tempo changes that are simply lush - she could do a different facial expression for every segment of the song. But I hope it doesn't happen, though if Mel C and Baby go back to back that might just be enough time for a quick binge drink.
I would stay for all these though:
Mel B - I Want You Back Mel C - Better Alone (Dance Mix) Geri H - Love Never Loved Me Vicky B - My Love Is For Real Emma B - Maybe

Melanie C's started doing a version of "I Turn To You" lately (well, in the last couple of years), where she does the first verse and chorus acoustically, then the Hex Hector version kicks in. I think that'd go down well, although I can imagine something off "This Time" would be much more likely.
Would love to see a group attempt at Emma's "Maybe" too.

She could try, but the botox would be too strong.

Two nights at the M.E.N in January confirmed by Mel C herself.

It doesn't sound shit. Smashing. It seems quite Geri heavy, but then she has got three singles' worth of absence to make up for.

I got very excited earlier thinking that Headlines has leaked, but it turned out to be a fake mp3 and was actually Wannabe played backwards, which is surprisingly catchy.
It's likely to leak soon though, is it not?

After a first listen I think that it is quite nice. Sporty's bit is particularly ace.
Yesterday Posh Spice was on front of 8 out of the 9 glossy celeb mags that were on sale in our local Morrisions. That's quite some going.
After a second listen I fucking love this. It's a really good Spice Ballad and up there with the others.

Not heard the full Headlines yet, but it sounded like Geri's passion fodder..
Does anyone else feel the picture of Victoria's bad skin was zoomed in and airbrushed in parts? It just didn't look real, and it made me mad when a lady at my work said it made her feel so good about herself to look at it.

Am I the only one not actually able to understand what Geri is singing? It sounds like she's mumbling into her chest

No, this is BRILLIANT. Really really good and quite beautiful. I love the Spice Girls - Call The Shots can shit right off, this is my Girl Band Ballad of 2007.

There is just no melody for me, no production sprinkle of Too Much or cosiness of 2 Become 1. Voodoo really doesn't seem like the title of another ballad so there is still hope, but how on earth could they not come up with something far better than this?

There's lots of melody for me - the chorus, the middle eight, all the verses after the first one, and they all merge and compliment each other wonderfully. I think if this had been released in 1997 and Too Much was being released now it would get a similar response. "Ooh it's definitely no Headlines."

I suppose that's my problem with it. It sounds like it could have been released in 1997. And I'd have probably loved it if it had. But ten years on, you expect them to come up with something a little more modern and with better production values than Headlines has.
Having said that, it's growing on me a little and it's certainly not the car-crash everyone's making it out to be but it still pales into comparison with the likes of the more recent Sugababes (Stronger, Caught In A Moment) and Girls Aloud (Whole Lotta History) ballads.
Have just heard a 20 second clip of Voodoo and it's made me think they really would have been better off just plugging the GH with their old stuff instead.

I concur. Even See The Day sounds more like classic Spice Girls than Headlines does (and that's a compliment to GA). I updated my Spice Ballads cd tracklist for my the lovely Becky, who was so excited about getting tickets for December but couldn't find her cds. After battles between my head and heart I put Headlines at the end, rather than Goodbye, and alongside the other ballads (and solo efforts) it just sounds weak. Spice Girls: 2 Become 1 Emma: Take My Breath Away Victoria: A Mind Of Its Own Geri: Lift Me Up Melanie C: Never Gonna Be The Same Again Spice Girls: Naked Emma: Free Me Melanie C: The First Day Of My Life Spice Girls: Mama Emma: Something So Beautiful Spice Girls: Too Much Geri: Calling Spice Girls: Viva Forever Emma: A World Without You Melanie C: Northern Star Spice Girls: Let Love Lead The Way Geri: Walkaway Spice Girls: Goodbye Spice Girls: Headlines

Truth be told, I never actually liked Too Much a lot anyways. Headlines has in fact grown on me a little, but only when it gets going with the backing vocals. It's very damp and sentimental though. A Freemasons remix of Never Give Up On The Good Times would have been more like it.

Why did they stop the video just before it got to Victoria's part? Damn them!
Geri's not looking great. She looks like she's had work done. And the bits of her in front of the big door, she looks like she's having sex with an imaginary man.
Edit: It's on The Box at 10pm tonight.

What THE HELL is this SHIT?!
It's weird how the two worst elements ruining it the most are Geri and Victoria, when they're the best by themselves. Why are they in lingerie? Surely they know they're about as sexy as Daniel O'Donnell.
Thank God for Melanie C. I never thought I'd say that.

I love this now, it's quite weepy and wistful at the same time. I am loving Geri's tribute to Catwoman or X-Men or whatever and Mel B looks the best by far. Yep, I'm happy with it.

And now Voodoo is 'out there'. It's a bit B-sideish, but good fun anyway.

Voodoo took me back to the mid 90s. I'm off out for some Pogs and Sunny D.
