Louise Redknapp has announced that she's returning to music. Who else should we brace ourselves for?

I've heard rumours of a Vanilla/Cleopatra reunion tour, to mark their decade in "the business".
I read it on Digital Spy.

2008 will be all about She Who Sits On Cannons - the return of Cher back in rock mode.

Surely everyone involved in this must be ready for a comeback?

Billie will be making a comeback next year, and Lisa Scott Lee's is on BBC1 tomorrow night. She was so sweet when she was on Loose Women, talking about how nice it was to act, even though she was playing herself. And I've just read that the Cheeky Girls are making a comeback, 5 years after the seminal The Cheeky Song. www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a82145/cheeky-girls-the-farmyard-hokey.html

Goodness me, there are literally no returning acts that I am excited about this year, let's hope there are lots of new ones to love.
EDIT: I would be excited about Louise returning, but know fine well it will be a half arsed top 5 hit followed by her facking off for another 7 years. She's the Sharon Watts of pop.
(The very last sentence is something I would like to pass off as my own so I look funny but I will point out that I nicked it off someone on Popjustice ages ago when I still read those boards, in case someone here remembers it and thinks "Oh, he's passing that off as his own so he looks funny but he actually nicked it off someone on Popjustice".)

I once went on a date with a boy that consisted of sitting in his house (we weren't 18 yet, what else are you meant to do?), and when that ABBA tribute came on the stereo I made a comment along the lines of "Remember Tina Cousins?"
For the next hour, I sat as he pulled out several singles, albums and collaborations out, then showed me his signed poster, and the Myspace comment "she" left him. I couldn't even bring myself to text him the next day.

Louise (and Jamie) Redknapp for Strictly Come Dancing next year maybe? I could see that happening.
Not really a comeback, but I can't wait for The Feeling's new album.

For purely aesthetic, as opposed to muscial, reasons, I would like Bad Boys Inc to come back.
I want Britney to come back - properly this time (hopefully with my amazing idea for a Toy Soldier video)

Cleopatra have been peddling the comeback rumour for years. I swear The One With The Googles must ring round all the papers herself.
I met Louise at TRL when she released Pandora's Box. She was lovely and gave me a signed photo of her in her knickers in a box. That day was also good for the fact my friend nearly poked Dave Berry's eye out with his umbrella.

I had a little think and I'm very much excited about Franz Ferdinand and Annie returning, which I think are both due for this year. I would be most excited about new stuff from The Killers but I won't get my hopes up for 2008, especially as it's only been about 13/14 months since Sam's Town. Louise (and Jamie) Redknapp for Strictly Come Dancing next year maybe? I could see that happening. Not really a comeback, but I can't wait for The Feeling's new album. I think I am too, although the new single is a bit bleh. Sophie Ellis-Bextor will have a twonewsongs Greatest Hits out in March, which I am quite nervous about because if it goes arse over tits she's sunk.

I love The Bextor but I'm still angry at her for taking 'Off and On' for her Greatest Hits. Damn you, Calvin Harris and your inability to handle rejection!

Is Off and On a song that the general public are likely to think 'ooh this is good and I might just buy that greatest hits she's got out'?

Not really. If they promote the fuck out of it then it has a chance as it's a good little electro-disco stomper but it's English law to neglect everything SEB releases in spite of how good it is.

I forgot Janet Jackson. The new single is ace - hopefully it won't lead to another shite album like it always seems to ever since Velvet Rope

Off the top of my head I just hope we finally get a new studio album from Cyndi Lauper, plus Cher's prog rock opus (well, whatever direction she goes in).

I forgot Janet Jackson. The new single is ace - hopefully it won't lead to another shite album like it always seems to ever since Velvet Rope Hear, hear. The first single off 20 Y.O. was everything I don't want in a Janet song, and this is pretty much the opposite - it's brilliant. More of this please, and no more horribly unsexy songs about sex. Also looking forward to the new albums by The Feeling, Goldfrapp, Missy Elliott, Lupe Fiasco, Dido, Franz Ferdinand, CSS, Madonna, Coldplay, Guillemots, Lily Allen, The Streets, Will Young, No Doubt and Portishead. Though only the last two really qualify as 'comebacks'.
