I don't know what bars are showing it, but would be up for watching the second one. I have an exam on Wednesday so can't go out the night before.

I've watched Chrlotte Perrelli's rehearsals and I still can't shake off Adrian's comments about her key change choreography.
Is there any way we can send some kind of Lowculture telegram or facsimilie to Serbia urging her to punch up on the last beat?

Well... I'm terribly excited about tonight. The ones that I'm most interested in (Slovenia and Ireland) seem to be at various levels of messiness depending on which blogs you're reading.
Fingers crossed though.
I'll be watching on the big screen working my way through a full menu of Eurovision-themed cocktails.
Sometimes life is good.
Enjoy yourselves, whatever you have planned for tonight and the rest of the week.

Ku Bar are showing the semis, I'm sure some place less skank will be too though.
Anybody up for it?

Boo, it should be law that every Gay has the right to watch Eurovision. It's the closest thing we have to a religious festival; it is our Easter. Unfortunately, it is this gay's birthday. You have no idea how much trouble I'm having.

Orchestral 'Molitva' and mariachi 'Waterloo' - I can already tell we're in for a treat.
Is Caroline Flack just there to laugh at Paddy O'Connell?

Now I know nothing about Eurovision, and I really wish that I 'got' it - but I just don't.
However, Charlotte Pirelli's facial work was/is a sight to behold.

I for one am gutted that the turkey is out! If Ireland had got through at the expense of another one of the ten acts last night (OK, maybe not Finland), I would not be happy.

I am so behind... Didn't the top ten placed countries from the previous year's contest used to qualify? When did they scrap that?

What is the deal with the turkey thing? Were Ireland taking the piss because they've come nowhere in the contest for years?
If I remember correctly, their entry last year was even worse than the British one - which was really saying something.

Euroband are the only group that we're concerned about not getting through to the final tonight. Everyone needs to vote for Iceland's Euroband - the number hasn't been published yet, but will be on screen tonight on BBC Three.
Also for your consideration - Charlotte Perrelli for Sweden, Ani Lorak for Ukraine and Morena for Malta.

I am so behind... Didn't the top ten placed countries from the previous year's contest used to qualify? When did they scrap that? Basically either all the Eastern European countries would vote for each other in the final and automatically qualify, or they'd all go through in the semi, leaving out all the Western European countries. So now there are two semi finals and they split up voting groups. So Russia and Ukraine for example are in separate semis, so they can't vote for each other. Only the participants of each semi can vote for that semi. The Big 4 and the winner automatically qualify and 2 vote in one semi and three for the other. Out of each semi the top nine voted songs go through and then one is selected by a jury. It makes it all fairer.

I think Andy Abraham would like me to take this opportunity to tell those who have missed any of his interviews that he did in fact write his song.
He is very proud of this fact and knows that it is of a completely different class and standard to anything else in the show. I have yet to hear anyone apart from Colleen Nolan agree about that.
Speaking of other acts...Charlotte is on second this evening. Squee!

I have put £5 each way on Iceland and Sweden - while I'm sure we'll get an Eastern European win, they are may favourites, and I want to put money on ones that I like.
It sort of makes sense in my head.
(Plus Iceland were 100-1)

I hope Russia don't win. The whole performance stank of desperation. Ukraine I would be happier with. But I have a sneaky feeling about Portugal. A very theatrical performance and a big soaring voice - got to be a top 5 at least.

If you are putting money on anyone, put it on Ukraine and/or Russia. Get you, John McCririck! Well, I am basing this on on-the-spot information from Belgrade, along with information from my ex-boyfriend who works for an online betting exchange. He made €26 out of Ani Lorak last night, and a few quid out of Dima on Tuesday, so my sources are good!
