So was Joe McGann, as the bloke who may, or may not have killed the schoolgirl, having come from the slightly less surreal Emmerdale. It wasn't Joe McGann in Emmerdale; it was Stephen, aka The McGann Brother Who Isn't Joe, Paul Or Mark.

How could we forget? Andy the only slightly better gangster than Sam Mitchell and Minty is basically pulling the same faces/punches as he did when he was Eddie Santini the edgy policeman who went off the rails and got put in prison in The Bill. Surely the more important Andy Hunter soap connection is that he was Helen Stewart's love interest, Dr Waugh, in Bad Girls? He went from being a doctor to a gangster -- and Eastenders's new doctor with the curly, dark hair used to be the gangster husband of Yvonne Atkins (until Lauren ordered him a pizza).

Two more 'Enders moving to The Bill
EastEnders' Little Mo's rapist, Graham, is now a copper (methinks) in The Bill
The old hag who used to be married to Terry in EastEnders is now in The Bill. She plays the middle-aged lady-bummer cop.

Curse my imperfect knowledge of the McGann clann, to be honest, if it's not Paul, I'm not interested. It was two different brothers, was it, not just the wrong name? Anyway, another obscure link, Beppe Di Marco's ex-wife on Eastenders was the daughter of the motel owners in Crossroads, round 2 (possibly 3), and her brother in that is the Dean father in Hollyoaks.

Jane Danson (Corrie's Leanne) was to be The Bill's first ladybummer, but as far as I understand it, they didn't tell her this when they cast her, and she wasn't very happy about it, and left so quickly that they didn't really have much time to do anything with that storyline.

She was (still is, probably; I can't remember if they had a big row or not) going out with Robert Beck in real, non-TV-soap-based life. Robert Beck was Peter Harrison in Brookside (posh, acquitted of raping Diana Corkhill, friendly with Polish prostitute / au pair Anna Wolska), as well as being Posh-Bummer-Who-Lured-Scott Neal/Luke Ashton-Towards-The-Dark-Path-Of-Homosexuality in The Bill. Where his girlfriend was a reluctant lesbian. Awww!

Don't forget that Robert Beck was (I think) Gavin in Emmerdale, and ran the Woolpack with the marvellously static-haired Bernice until she caught him snogging Jason Kirk in a somewhat contrived I'm-straight-but-actually-I-quite-like-kissing-blokes-sometimes moment.

Wasn't Sunita from Corrie a social worker/nurse type who was around for a few episodes in Eastenders when Sonia gave up her baby? I'm useless at remembering soap actors if I've not seen them before, this thread's been pretty fascinating for reminding me of characters I'd completely forgotten about, but I remembered her from Dinnerladies when I saw her on Eastenders, I'm pretty sure it was her.
And I'm not sure if Bad Girls counts as a soap, and the Bill seems to be included along with a pension with the retirement plan when you sign up for a soap these days, but off the top of my head these are the ones I can think of:
(sorry if these have already been mentioned)
Shelagh Murphy from TB= Can't for the life of me remember her name, but she died in Brookside and was the adoptive mother of the ultra Christian kid who killed a bully DI Manson from TB=Di Barking's girlfriend beating fiancé from BG The curly white haired bloke from TB who always works with Rob Thatcher=Michael Rose (Matthew's dad) in Eastenders Gina Gold = Irene Myers from BG=Tanya from Corrie Denny's mum from BG was in Corrie a while back Rachel from BG=Zoe from Corrie Shell=Frankie, Podger Pam=Cilla, Alma=Bev (All BG/Corrie, and I think all pretty well documented and known by everyone anyway) The woman in BG who was involved in child porn (not Buxton, although she was in Hollyoaks) who got off with Nikki Wade before Helen moved her=the woman in Brookside who was sleeping with her brother (Georgia?)

re: all the Bad Girls intersoapality,
There are rumours that Linda Henry (Yvonne Atkins) will be guesting in Eastenders.
How good?

Not really a soap thing, but who's noticed that DI Manson from the Bill was the bloke in Queer as Folk who went home with Phil & gave him the drugs that killed him and was eyeing up/being eyed up by Stuart in the clubbing-scene finale to the first series?

I noticed that. But probably mainly because I fancied the arse off him in QaF.

Think he's more attractive in the Bill, but I suppose it depends on whether you prefer him looking more clean-cut or like a bit of a scally.

Hollyoaks has just gianed two new intersoapials from Naight and Day. Firstly, the super fit one with the big jaw has just popped up as Russ, in the new 'Oaks family. Then there is a new fireman who starts next week who is also form N&D (apparently). He looks like one of the Nolan's sons from Brookside. The older brother. The new fireman (Callum) in Hollyoaks IS Steve Murray from Brookside. His surname seems to have changed from Fletcher to Cartait for some reason though. I find him strangely attractive too. And since Sunset Beach has restarted, anyone know of any Intersopiality going on there?

She's one of the wild things in Wild Things 2. She played someone's neighbour (who keeps knocking him back?) in a recent film and guested in Hercules The Legendary Journies a lot too.

As The Bill is cropping is so frequently, does everyone know of this website, which has details and pictures of just about everything all the cast members have been in before, called "Any previous?" www.goldweb.com.au/~bessie/frameset.htm

Annie from SB went straight into the Bold and the Beautiful, because she is both. Leslie Anne Downs who played Olivia in SB was in Upstairs Downstairs, according to my mum. The fucking gorgeous eddie Cibrian (Cole in SB) is now a fireman in 3rd Watch, and is in L'Oreal adverst (as is the fabulous Milla Jovovich, who has an amazing album which everyone should buy www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002TNT/026-7836101-8344454 ). And finally Meg's mum is now married to George W. Bush.

I really thought in Sunset Beach Gabby was played by Charlotte in Sex And The City, but she wasn't. It's her double!
I've seen a lot of the cast in other Aaron Spellings shows - Meg's mum was the mum in Beverly Hills 90210, Sean Richards (Randy Spelling) in Malibu Shores, and Aunt Bette and Gregory Richards in Knots Landing.
Looking up some of the cast on IMDB, most of them seem to have been in Friends/Baywatch/Buffy/Beverly Hills 90210 or some other Spelling production at some point.

for a while back in the 90s home and away/neighbours used to be always swapping cast, though i can't actually think of many, except the Max(??...Marlenes grandson) became a doctor in H&A.
Ofcourse both Jackie Woodburn and Janet Anawatha were in both Prisoner and Neighbours, as were possibly others.

Old Mr King (I dunno what any of the Kings are called apart from Patsy, sorry) in Emmerdale was Mrs Hart's middle-class-dad-who-turned-bad in pre-boat-explosion-Family Affairs.
He was also Billy Walker (Annie's son) In Corrie a very, very long time ago. Ooooh he was a bad lad with the ladies

An Eldorado actress was in Eastenders last night playing Graham the rapist's Mum. She was Drew's wife and Nessa's (the wheelchair- bound annoying-voiced one) Mum in Eldorado. But I can't remember her name.
I wonder if she got together with Charlie and talked about the good old days?

And Jill Halfpenny of butchered haircut fame started out by blinding Ant McPartlin with a paintgun in Byker Grove. No she didn't. She'd left Byker Grove by that point. It was in fact the girl who played her sister, Debbie and another girl who later went on to appear in......The Bill.
