Phil's Top 10 rapes or Top 10 storylines? Before Nikki there was Leanne from Corrie's real life husband in Brookie in a rape exploit and years before that poor Ma Corkhill. And let's not forget that Beth & Rachel Jordache were raped by their Dad. Actually it was the fact that Peter (Mr Leanne) was a suspected dirty rapist that drove Beth out of his bed and into the arms of her out of The Chase. That's Phil Redmond's ideal plot: rapist + rape victim = lesbianism.

Although back when Brookie wasn't shit, wasn't there a properly, sensitively handled rape storyline with Sheila Grant? I seem to recall a really disturbing sequence of her being dragged into bushes.
That was when Phil Redmond's soaps handled rape as a life-shattering, terrible crime as opposed to a lazy, whodunnit?, oft-repeated and devaluaing plot device.

Quick intersoapiality update: Once hot and saught after homo David Paisley, of Holby City fame has now joined River City. Nice to see him get some work - I was worried by his IMDB profile that he has probably been walking around Princes Street remembering times gone past where he dry rode Lee Warburton in a stock room. That was hot actually: REALLY HOT He has come back looking a shadow of his former self with a hook nose and bags under his eyes. www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/tv/rivercity/news/As the episode is playing out though, I think I'm back to fancying him after the initial disappointment and revulsion. EDIT - River City is the new Bill because today's news is Rosa Di Marco is going in to play part of some kind of comedy double act - hilarious older women getting up to hi-jinx!

Bernice from Emmerdale will be joining Hollyoaks soon.
The Valeyard from Doctor Who's Trial of a Time Lord era is now on Emmerdale as a comatose old man who was dumb enough to marry Nicola de Souza (before he went comatose, I mean). Surely the backstage trials of the ToaTL era count as soap.
Violet's sister on Corrie was one of Jack Osborne's nieces on Hollyoaks years ago.

Yes! Not only that, her husband in this episode is a former Bill actor and Casualty also features Janice's dead husband from Corrie in its cast. Intersoapiality overload! Oh, and Finn used to be in Hollyoaks as well.

Susannah Farnham is in Heartbeat. I think she's tried to kill someone. She's very angry.

Rosa De Marco (or however it was spelt) (and anyway she'll always be Susan from Bergerac to me) joins the cast of "River City" tomorrow.

On a related note, she ate in my restaurant last week: Chicken Enchillada if you will.
Obviously I got a picture but it didn't seem the same without her Rogue/Phoebe stripe.

Sorry, but can we try and stick to the soaps. If we name any actor from any programme turning up in any other programme we will be here all day; actors do tend to have more than one role in their careers, after all.

Is Jazz from H&A the same actress who played the dodgy doctor in Neighbours? Does it count as intersoapiality when its between H&A and Neighbours? Or is that just a case of going in the wrong studio door?

Two future intersoapiality prospects in Australia.. Blind Ann Timmins from Neighbours is to play Roman's daughter in H&A, and Tom Fletcher from old school Home and Away is to play Ned/Steve/Stu's dad in Neighbours

Weird Neighbours intersoapiality moment: The first guy who played Darren Stark (who was also in Heartbreak High) is returning to play Fitzy's brother. Now that's just weird. Especially when there could possibly have been a random two Darrens storyline instead.

Actually, when an actor appears in the same soap as different characters, it's intrasoapiality, a far more disgusting form of intersoaliality. And when an actor plays the same character in two different soaps, i.e. Claire and Claire in Hollyoaks / Eastenders, it's transsoapiality... or is it bisoapiality... I forget.
