How good/bad does Mean Girls look? I can't wait to see it. I hope it will make me meaner than ever.

I want to go tonight, but BB will keep me in. Maybe tomorrow. I can't wait though!
I also want to see Connie and Carla too, I know it's supposed to be shit, but it's DRAG QUEENS! (Okay women pretending to them, but it's got Toni Collette!)

I am seeing it tomorrow, and I'm fully prepared for it to be brilliant. I've got the poster on my wall, I did the Mean Girls Quiz in Sneak magazine - I was Lindsay Lohan, natch - and I've got my Mean Girl Decoder free from the cinema. Apparently "that's a nice dress" means "you look like Shrek's little sister".
The only bad thing is that I can't take a big drink into the cinema during the film, in case I piss myself with all the excitement.

It's really good. Seen it getting some good reviews in the Broadsheets (apart from the Gaurdian. They've let me down) but i love it. And that's all that matters.

I think I'll wait for it on DVD, Lindsay doesn't get her clothes off in it. The day she gets a nude scene in a movie will be fantastic.

She's the only girl in the film to have a cleavage.

It's really, really good.
However I can't stop thinking that they held back a bit in order to get that lower age rating.
It's a shame because you really get the impression that if it wasn't a concern this wouldn't be the type of film that would have to resort to the typical, stupid, overly gross-out gimmicks just because it's allowed to be and instead would use that freedom to make it more biting and adult.

Greatest. Film. Since. Grease.2. Although that doesn't make it sound too promising.
I've realised I do so many things like Regina. The whole nasty 'Oooh I love that top, where did you get it?' to people I don't particularly like, for example. Je suis un Plastique. Fetch.
I love Lindsay Lohan so much. I want her to be my best friend. We could sometimes hang out with Hilary Duff so she could sing to us.

I went with my 13 yr old cousin (I’m not telling you how old I am, but I was the oldest in the cinema by about a decade!). My cousin loved it, I thought it was entertaining but not a patch on the stuff I watched in my teens. It could have been 'Heathers' for the 21st century, but turned out to be 'Clueless' for the Legally Blonde generation, with a 12 rating. Stupid producers sanitising films for mass consumption by Middle America tweenies.

I liked it, but as Lovebomb pointed out, it didn't really seem 'mean' enough. There needed to be more cutting one-liners and less 'bitches must be punished' morals at the end.
That said, Lindsay Lohan is officially the hottest actress working today. That dress she was wearing when she was having the party at her house - the one which showed off her expansive cleavage - was an utter fucking masterstroke from the wardrobe department.

Can anyone confirm the rumours that The Lohan is really in her early twenties and not late teens? It does seem plausible. Look at Ashton Kutcher.

The day she gets a nude scene in a movie will be fantastic. wait. so you only go to the cinema for ponography? i would have thought DVDs are more suitable for masturbation. imagine the freeze-frame possibilities! besides, i'm not sure cracking one off in the cinema is fair on the people around you. i guess you're hot for the thrill of getting caught? which is fine, but remember: gnr.nu/gt/mugshots/pee-wee-herman.jpg [/img]

By golly, I did enjoy this film. I can see the point of the people who wanted it to have a little more bite, but there was a lot to enjoy about it nonetheless. Lindsay Lohan is fantastic.
An interesting point: did anyone else notice that in the post-party scene where Janis is really mad at Cady, she actually calls her "Kay-dee" as opposed to "Caddy", which as far as I could tell was the only time in the film she said her name right? I kept expecting them to make something of that, but they never did. Perhaps it's on the cutting room floor somewhere.
Does Tina Fey remind anyone else of Emma Caulfield from Buffy? I thought it was her at first.

"Muriel, you've got no dignity."
Mean Girls made me appreciate teen movies again. I really must go back and watch more. I long for Popular series 1 on DVD.

It was totally fetch.
Favourite character -- Karen.
If you're from Africa, how come you're not black?
I agree that the ending was sentimentarama (and what was that group therapy session all about?) but at least it did retain some of it's bite with the school bus/baby plastics at the end. And anyway, what's wrong with sentiment? I left the cinema feeling joyous about the world in a way a film hadn't left me since Lost In Translation.
I've got ESPN. It's a fifth sense.

Lindsay Lohan could be not really 17 cos I'm sure she was more than year older than me when The Parent Trap came out. I was only 10 so she'd have to be 11, which seems very young.
