I dont think we should give nicknames in this thread- the best ones some to come out organically from the main thread and after a few weeks the good ones stick. Don't be ridiculous! I for one cannot read the word pelican without thinking of Wayne.

I still like whoever's suggestion it was for Ste that he was a dirty elf. The Dirty Elf works quite well as a nickname for him I think...

Jake and Nancy are 'Mr Happy and the Angry Troll' I believe
Just when you think Mercedes has a lack of higher brain function, there's a bit of McQueen magic.
It's canon that is!

And summers is in dispute- I was more a fan of Summer of 69. Shell have to be in it longer to see which wins out. Although "being in it longer" is so often a difficulty in Hollyoaks, isn't it? She may well be written out to live with her auntie in a throwaway line spoken by a character who has never met her three weeks after the event.

I hate to get really picky about this but I thought that this thread was a guide to the nicknames we have not a "let's name all the characters" thread. I dont think that all the characters should have nicknames- it sort of takes away from the ones we have. I think that the GREAT nicknames are the ones you think of when you see the character - like Slabface, Rubbish Tranny and Swimbint. I dont think there's any point in having them just for the sake of it (and certainly not for a character as minor and invisible as Wayne).

I used to refer to Wayne as the pelican almost exclusively because he was such an identikit chav it was impossible to remember his name. I don't think it was ever explicitly intended as a nickname - though even if it became one, I wasn't expecting the fanatical backlash against it. Meh. As long as we all agree on Rapeboat there's no harm done.

Somebody called Justin "Lilolips" ages ago. Can that be on the list? It makes me laugh a lot more than is healthy.

Can The Birdseye Botherer be added to the list of Tom's official nicknames? I know Birdseye Kid is already there, but The Birdseye Botherer cracks me up every single time.

Yay! I suggested that one ages ago during the great drought of derogatory nicknames for the vile, fat child. I can't believe its took this long for us to start bullying him in a manner which befits his vile, fat childishness.
Edit: I've seen Michaela called 'Micksy' a few times on the main board. I like that, its informal and sort of intimate. She in no way deserves a nickname any more slanderous than that.

It's from Carmen Sandiego en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_SandiegoI can't remember who came up with it, but it was inspired by Rubbish Tranny mincing around in a swishy long coat, I believe.

I tried to explain who Cindy was and why she was there to my sister and said "She's kind of like Pregnant Child v1.0" which she now uses constantly. Though ten years post-natal...
