Wasn't everyone racist in those days though?
Enid Blighton had her gollywogs. And a lesbian in the Famous Five/Secret Seven

i was totaly disapointed when I went to see this film, the locations were very good the animals and computer imagerary were very good, everything was good ....untill you came to teh children...the most important part of the film one might say!
Totaly unengadging, very bland in their performances, didnt make me believe in them at all, and it felt very much like a bit of a school play, they just didnt sound right or look right to me. Also I spent half the film wishing that someone woudl clean Lucy's teeth for her, they were grey and horrible.

I can't believe that none of you noticed that adult Susan was played by the lesser Winkleman!
And I liked Lucy!
