It sounds a bit like a mash-up of 'Blink' by Rosie Ribbons and 'Say It Again' by Precious.
I like the bit where she swings from the chandelier, mind.

My twins sky plussed this and I watched it with them today, it was our big family new years eve thang. Hmm, wasn't keen myself. I thought bake boy was the star, the only one I liked. And yeah, that nose on the boo girl, was that fake? Seemed kinda ugly for an uber bitch role. The houses were so incredibly fancy that it was darn hard to locate the sympathy. The songs were lame, and the voices over effecty. It was all too glossy. One mum described it to me as a Grease for the new generation. Hmm, don't think it'll endure.
The kids in my boys classes adore it though, and we sold out at the bookshop yesterday. I am very old, so I am so not the target audience.

Why are you all so sure that we needed to sympathise with them?

Besides, with the amount of Spelling-produced TV I've watched, I just assumed everyone in America lives in houses like that, in much the same way that everyone in Britain lives in a castle, a mansion or a pretty little thatched cottage.

Have finally watched it! It was quite amusing but I'd rather sing with my friend in her car to the sound track on CD than watch it again. Lead boy's very rubbish Milli-Vanilli miming is naff.
I looooove the Vanessa Hudgens song. Apart from her rap in the middle. Bog off Baby V

It is absolutely terrible and for that I loved it. The plot was ridiculous. And school at that age is not like that - she would so be more interested in giving him a blowjob than getting into that shitty 'music-AL'. Zac Efron was annoying and it wasn't even his singing voice, but I did like the brief topless scene mind. And the caféteria song rocked.

Guernsey are the first group to do High Schoo Musical, the musical. I only just found out about it tho, so I'm hoping it's not too late for me to get a part. Onloy a small one tho I can;'t dance for shit. I want to be the hip hop girl! A clever, fat, white girl who wants to be black? That's me!

I watched this at the weekend and spent the full time being so ridiculously over excited that the drama teacher was Cassie from A Chorus Line!

They are bringing it around for an arena concert tour over here in the states now that the lead is finished making the Hairspray movie ("He is such a teen idol" says John Waters). I am holding out for 'High School Musical: On Ice'

Its on the Disney site, you can vote for minor things in the next film I've done it, thanks for telling me. I must say that it doesn't make me too excited about the next film, because the questions led me to believe that the plot will basically be the characters from the first film having a nice summer break. I did the "Which Character Are You?" quiz too. I'm Sharpay.

We had the first read through for this today, and auditions are on Sunday. The film is so popular, all this skinny young uns who wouldn't have been here in a million years if it was Oklahoma rolled up. There are some nice voices tho. But yeah, I read a bit for Ms Darbus and really enjoyed it, so as an older, fatter girl compared to the others, I think I stand a very good chance of that one.
