I spotted in the Radio Times that 'Mrs 'Arris Goes To Paris' (with Angela Landsbury, Diana Rigg and I think Fred Elliot) is on next week. It's a really crap movie but I can't help liking it and wondered what other really awful films we all had a soft spot for.
I would have once said 'Imitation of Life' but it's now been reclassified as a cult classic!

I cried the first time I watched "Mr 'Arris Goes To Paris"
I'm not ashamed. I was only a kid.

I love 'Mrs 'Arris Goes To Paris'. 'Lifesize' is also awful but excellent.

I also quite like 'Home For Christmas' with Mickey Rooney and it really is awful!

Spiceworld: The Movie, The Magic Roundabout, Underworld (+ sequel), and the Are You Being Served? one where they go to spain.
I shall endevour to watch Mrs 'Arris Goes To Paris. I#ve always thought that, outside of the porn genre, it has the best film title ever. I'm hoping it contains Angie Lansbury doing a ludicrous cockney pauper accent.

Oh yes, I am a secret fan of 'Are You Being Served - the movie' too. I actually think it's better now than it was in the day due to the fact it has no laughter track. It's now got a post modern, post -'Office' feel to it!
I actually saw the stage version of this too when I was about 10!

Pretty much my entire DVD collection is made up for really crap films. I only have about two "good"films and those were bought for me by my mum! Gems in my collection include:
Cool Runnings - fat John Candy teaches Jamaicans to bobsleigh - hurrah!
Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure - Keanu Reeves does some historically incorrect time travelling - hurrah!
Overboard - Goldie Hawn falls off her boat, loses her memory and Kurt Russel tricks her into sleeping with him - hurrah!

All my favourites are all corny. My 2nd favourite film of all time is Father of the Bride.
I also still love Spiceworld

Overboard was on a few weeks ago, so I doubt it'll be on a again so soon. However Lewisham Matalan are selling huge numbers of it for £3, so get there while stocks last.

Jawbreaker Slap Her, She's French Sextette All I Want For Christmas Wise Girls
Plus I have yet to read a glowing review for 200 Cigarettes and I really think it is the most charming film I have seen in the last 7 years or so. It's a classic and to watch it for the first time over the festive period would be a hoot.
Edit: and the music is great, too.

Oh, anything with Robin Williams in it that isn't supposed to be funny. What Dreams May Come, Toys etc. And absolutely any old shite with Doris Day in it. Plus, Lemony Snicket's been really panned, hasn't it, but I love it.
A bad film that surely nobody can like, that all the reviewers, no matter how scathing their reviews, was correct about- Gigli.

I sort of know that the rest of the world probably thinks Adventures in Babysitting is utter shite, but I can't help but love it. It's just so fun. And I love Elizabeth Shue.

I don't think this is crap, more cheesey, but I'm a big fan of 'Eyes of Laura Mars'. All that layered tweed and 70s fashion shoots!
Oh, and for Lansbury fans, 'Mrs Santa Claus' is on soon too.

I remember watching Bill & Ted at a summer playscheme, aged 9 or something. And yes, Cool Runnings... "Feel de rhythm, feel de ride, get on up, it's bobsled time!"

I loveeeee Cool Runnings and Bill & Ted. I am also a HUGE fan of Virtual Sexuality. Mainly because it's TOTALLY different to the book in that it features a lot of a very, very hot Rupert Penry Jones!

I really love Batteries Not Included, its complete nonsense, but it warms my heart to see cute little toasters flying about and Miracle on 34 Street the Richard Attenborough version.
