Oh Klee, have you seen Witness for the Prosecution? Marlene's finest hour!

Marlene as a Mexican fortune-telling brothel madam - that line is fantastic, such chilling sincerity. Carol Channing's impersonation is a treat also: "is my outfit too flimsy for a grandmother?"
Best beginning:
Madeline Ashton's Songbird number in Death Becomes Her is meant to demonstrate how lousy a 'brand' or indeed performer she has become, with dwindling box-office - everything from her comedy pensive breast-cupping mirror gazing to the thrown in disco whoops and unconvincingly coy reaction to the attentive bell-boys ("now you're talking!"), to me just scream sheer magnificence. She makes "you mean ME?" the soundtrack to every young girls dream if it weren't so tacky and sluttish, although as a young boy I still managed to identify.
Best ending: Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds
The scene where they drive off quietly surrounded by a landscape of still birds previously pecking away at their skulls, with the silence only to be broken by an occasional (terrifying) flutter is in turns: disquieting, baffling and hilarious. It's very open-ended as there is never an explanation given. I actually grew up watching this film at my grannies, we loved it.

I always loved Legally Blonde 'Perfect Daaaayyyy', Father of the Bride, the beautiful Amelie.

Best Beginnings: The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) The intro to this movie is great. The whole mythical hero images and then the footage of war and the fight for oil (which is even more disturbing now) and then pow: you are suddenly thrown out of Max's car engine and straight into the brutal action on the road. click to watch(NSFW) The Twilight Zone moviePretty shit film, but the opening sequence is very very good, and when it comes.. very creepy. If anyone ever says to you "Do you want to see something really scary?", say noooooo. Click to watch
