What, no St Trinians thread yet? Saw it a few days ago surrounded by teenage girls and their Fag Bangles. Was OK. Funny in parts. Not amazing but good holiday season fodder. Who plays the daft stoner receptionist at the school? Best thing in it by miles.

Me and my mates are going to see this next week in St Trinians fancy dress. I kid you not.

This was alright. It seems they poured all their money into the costumes and props, and not much else.
Going it had a fair few big names in it, it was very poor in parts.

It wasn't very good.
The best moment was when the eleven year old boy sat next to me turned round to his mum and asked what a tampon was.
Sadly I cannot guarantee this happening at every screening.

I saw the Girls Aloud video thing for this last night and it's the best thing ever. The film looks shit though.

He was on screen for a total of about 7 minutes, so it wouldn't be fair to comment on his acting prowess.

Oh lord. I saw this last night and it was probably the worst thing I've seen in recent memory. Russell Brand was ok but he was trying to act, when he should have just been him so it was a bit dodge. All the Mr Darcy jokes were rather embarassing, and well it just wasn't funny.

I saw it last night and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.
I giggled like a fool at the 'Another Country' reference from Colin Firth to Rupert Everett...

Oh lord. I saw this last night and it was probably the worst thing I've seen in recent memory. Agreed, and considering it wasn't that long ago I saw Southland Tales, that's quite an achievement. It was absolutely piss-poor - not funny in the least and completely half-arsed from beginning to end. Girls Aloud's appearance at the end was a plus point, but it was too little, far too late.

We saw this tonight and I quite liked it. It was nothing amazing, but not the total shitfest I was expecting. The younger girls and the other school's teacher shouting WHORES were probably the best bit. Oh actually, the best bit was Nicola's mighty almost Popeye-like arm movement in The Aloud's performance. The film had more of a plot than I was expecting, and some good use of Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
There was no need for Mischa Barton. But then there never is, is there?
I hope it's done well because I saw a documentary a while ago about the Man who resurrected Ealing Studios and how the whole future of the company was based on St Trinian's performing well. Such plucky obvious stupidity risk-taking should be rewarded.

Who plays the daft stoner receptionist at the school? Best thing in it by miles. That would be Jodie Whittaker, who was the finger-sniffin'-good star of Venus. She was my favourite thing too with her red pills and blue pills. I finally saw it this afternoon and enjoyed it. Parts of it were just stupid, and continuity was dire, but it's not the sort of film one deconstructs. Loved Fenella Woolgar, thought the new girl looked very much like Nicola Roberts during her makeovers, think Colin Firth just gets better and better with age, and loved Lucy Punch as his jolly hockysticks daughter, who looked alarmingly like Zara Phillips when she first appeared on screen.

The fact that was she third billed after Rupert Everett and Colin Firth kept making me think there was going to be some sort of huge twist involving her character, but no. Perhaps she's just got a really good agent, or no one else wanted their name prominently displayed on the poster.

I wondered if maybe there had been some sort of lesbi-crush storyline with her and Posh Totty quiz girl that had been cut out, as the scene between them at the quiz final seemed to come out of nowhere. She is big in America though, what with her being Sarah Connor.

I don't see why not - after all, Judi Dench got an Oscar for eight minutes of screen time in Shakespeare In Love. Based on this and his (mercifully brief) appearance in Penelope, I'd have to conclude that Russell Brand's acting abilities begin and end at 'being Russell Brand'. It's entirely up to you to decide whether or not this constitutes a talent.
