It is very lovely, funny, tender and I urge you to see it.
I saw it a good seventeen hours ago and I am still grinning with all the warm, fuzzy just left the cinema residue floating around my head.
The soundtrack is utterly adorable too.

I went to see this on Tuesday it was brilliant. I was so pleased that it avaioded all the usual cop outs such a film would normally have.
It warmed the cockles

Saw this on Sat night and absolutely loved it, my attention span for films is normally fairly short but this kept me thoroughly entertained the whole way through, my favourite film of the year so far!
Also loved the soundtrack, hope its available to buy/download soon. My boyfriend jokingly said that when he proposes he's going to sing the song from the beginning of the film (something about will you be my bride), which would surely make it the cutest proposal ever!

I liked this, but I did not think it was very brilliant. The acting was great from everyone involved, but there were several very contrived scenes (the OH NO WHAT'S SHE WRITTEN AND LEFT ON THEIR DOORSTEP?!??!! scene in particular) and the bits where Arrested Dadvelopment and Ellen Page talked about music was almost like it was written by someone who has never heard a band, ever.
BUT
the soundtrack is brill! Pretty much all Kimya Dawson with a couple of her old Moldy Peaches stuff thrown in for good measure. The soundtrack is available, but the songs used are almost all from Hidden Vagenda, so, you know.
Also, Kimya has a brilliant Livejournal somewhere which is basically just photos of her hawking her baby (Panda!) around different DIY music concerts. It is ace.

the bits where Arrested Dadvelopment and Ellen Page talked about music was almost like it was written by someone who has never heard a band, ever. Oh man that was excruciating. I liked the film a lot, but at times found Ellen Page as annoying as she was in Hard Candy. She's just too much of a smartass. I loved her pal though and the boy was great. Yeah, nice to see Mrs Mouldy Peach doing well, she must be raking it in what with the soundtrack sales. I also liked that ... pretty lady got the baby in the end. I thought that it was going to be all "oh I love my wee baby after all and want to keep it and raise it with the boy" and that the childless lady would just be totally fucked over as usually happens. So, that was nice.

Does the guy in this (who was also in Superbad) remind anyone else of Simon Amstell?

I'm determined to see this purely because the screenwriter looked AMAZING at the Baftas and I have decided she is the coolest person ever. I am that shallow and I am not ashamed.

Oh it was lovely! My favourite film of the year so far. I was worried I would find Juno really annoying and smartarsed, but there were so many gentle, vulnerable moments where she was just a confused sixteen year old that made her really likeable. I was pleased with the way it ended as well. I didn't want a kop out, and even though I reeeeally wanted Juno to keep the baby and for her, Bleeker and the baby to be a little cute family, it was more satisfying when Vanessa kept it. She just wanted it so much. Jennifer Garner was ace in this.
Oh, and I really liked the note scene, and how it took centre stage on the wall at the end. I love cheesy done well! It just made me want to cry. For several hours after it. Oh, I'm even welling up now just typing about it. I urge everyone to go and see it!

SBaholic: I think it was most of the Jennifer Garner scenes that had me going! Any mention of 'Im still in, if youre still in' instantly sets me and my mate off; I completely understand!

I am so annoyed. I read the review of this in the Observer on Sunday and it gave away the whole plot. I am going tonight but now I know what happens. Pah.

Its fab. Ellan Page is great. Actually pretty much all the performances are great. Just about the perfect indie film, really - right down to having not one but two Belle & Sebastian songs in it. Made me laugh, and made me cry, and made me go all fuzzy inside. Can't ask more than that.
And I now love Michael Cera. Even more than before.

I thought Juno herself was very Dawson's Creek. I really don't like it when they put all these references to obscure bands, films and directors in. I did really enjoy the film overall. There wasn't enough of the George Michael boy in it either. Hated the soundtrack.

I'm still glowing after having seen it this morning. The dialogue was great - the Diana Ross line was my favourite, and Allison Janney is perfection in anything she does, and the conversation with the ultrasound technition was wonderful.
The scene at the end where Juno was crying on the bed and Paulie was just holding her almost made me cry, but not quite.
A Movie Watch recommendation of 10.

I've developed a habit of letting my friends persuade me into wasting money to see movies with them that I've already seen with my boyfriend but I didn't need any persuasion to see this again. I went to see it in Paris last week (French audiences are so much more receptive than audiences here) and loved it, and went to see it again tonight. I dare anyone to see this and not come away thinking it was damn good.
Definitely deserving of its Oscar nominations. Really on-the-mark, unpretentious comedy and for something that could be described as 'Teenage girl gets pregnant - hilarity ensues', it really managed to stay away from cliches.
The guy who plays Bleeker is fantastic, he was really good in Superbad too, I think I have a new guilty-geeky-crush.

I think this is a fine film but I didn't love it. I had too many expectations based on what other films and tv shows the principle cast had been in. It could at least had have an sardonic narrator that broke the fourth wall and/or a cameo by Liza Minnelli. I was annoyed that Juno's dad didn't give anyone a DIY tattoo on the butt.

I thought this film was 'quite good'. Pretty much everything about it was 'quite good' - the acting, the script, the direction. All quite good, not amazing, just quite good. I really don't understand why it's up for Best Picture at tomorrow night's Oscars.
Saved! did the whole teen pregnancy thing much better.

I loved it.
I thought Ellen Page would annoy me, but she didn't. It was like Rayanne from My So-Called Life was acting in Gilmore Girls.
I thought it was better than Saved! as I didn't like Saved's mushy god-worshipping ending (or Jena Malone).
A great way to spend 90 minutes.
I am now going to go and re-watch every episode of Arrested Development.

I can barely remember Saved- I seem to have a recolection of a contrived car crash scene?? I remember thinking it was pretty good but not great. I have just watched Juno and I loved it!! OK, cheesy at times but it kept me surprised and the script was so witty.

What was that film with Princess Laila? She lived in Walmart for a month while pregnant? I'm sure that is a bit like Juno.

Her red-neck boyfriend got her pregnant and then started driving her off to the big city. She had to stop at the Walmart to go to the loo and when she came back out, he'd driven off and left her there. So she lived in Walmart for a month - it was genius! She slept on a sleeping bag and used an alarm clock from the shelves, and then went and hid in a cupboard until the shop opened! It was so much fun. A little bit like Juno I guess, but she had the baby pretty early on. The rest of the film is a bit shit, but I do enjoy watching my fantasy of running riot in Toys R UsWalmart.

By far the best piece written on Juno appears on the site 'Stuff White People Like', where it clocks in at number 57 on the list. That's good, but I also like the unveiling of Diablo Cody's next script on SomethingAwful. I like it even more because a very large percentage of the commenters on ohnotheydidnt failed to realise it was a parody: www.somethingawful.com/d/news/diablo-cody-screenplay.php
