At about 1am I noticed my sofa shaking for about 20 seconds. Then my flatmates all came in and said they felt the same. Did anyone else notice anything?
EDIT: Hurrah, it was on the news, apparently it was felt all over the country.

Apparently the epicentre was up near Hull and it was a 4.7.

I slept through it all.
But even stranger, I woke this morning to find a package in my room from a friend. How they got into my house, let alone my bedroom last night, is beyond me.

I didn't get any vibes. A friend of mine fell out of bed though.

My flat's on stilts and I felt very unsafe. Scared the crap out of the cat too. Mr Mcflooze thought some hooligan was actually shaking the stilts, until he woke up properly.

I felt the earthquake. It felt like someone shaking me to wake up without the pressure of anyone touching me - like a ghost or something. And we had a powercut (unconnected to the earthquake) from about 3 til 9 yesterday. I'm wondering what will come next.

It woke me up in South London, followed ten minutes later by numerous sirens.
McFlooze, your flat on stilts sounds fun. In my head, it's like the beach house from Sleeping With The Enemy.

At first I thought it was housemates having energetic sex in the room above (as per usual) but it became a bit too frantic when all the furniture in my room started wobbling. I briefly thought I'd be crushed in some bizarre multifloor menage a trois accident.
There's already Facebook groups saying I Survived The Quake of February 26th. Tools.

I was watching Shaun of the Dead on itv2 on the bit where the Zombies finally get into the pub at the end when it happened and I stupidly thought Zombies were trying to get into my house for about 1 nanosecond.

Had it reached here I wouldn't have noticed. We've had such high winds recently my whole flat sways on a regular basis and it's like living on a ship. I've now got better sea legs than Jane McDonald.

We did feel the earthquake in West Yorkshire. The ground rumbled a bit and there was a loud noise. I was watching Shameless on E4+1 at the time.

Originally I didn't think I had woken up at all and congratulated myself on being so hardcore not even an earthquake could disturb my sleep.
However Mr Fezza informs me this is not quite true. Allegedly I opened my eyes, said 'what the bloody hell was that?' and promptly went back to sleep.
Meanwhile he checked the safety of the house and children tho not in that order necessarily. Oops.

You had the most normal reaction to the earthquake.
I am looking forward to class tommorow when i can proclaim that the earth didn't move for me.

I didn't notice a thing. But that's not surprising - I officially don't notice earthquakes. Quite randomly, I've been in the epicentre of two (mild) earthquakes, while awake, and didn't even notice anything happening. In one my then boyfriend's mum came in, all 'are you both okay' and we were just like 'huh? We're fine. Why do you ask?'

I didn't feel a thing, but then a) i do live right by a tube and train station b) in South Longon and c) at 1am I was dancing in my room to Bootsy Collins, so its unlikely I would notice much.

I was just dropping off to sleep and then my bed shuddered for about 4 seconds, at which point I woke up terrified because if felt like someone was under my bed shaking it.
Going to work the next day it would appear that no-one else in Aberdeen had felt it and by the time it got to last night I'd started to convince myself that my bed, in the absence of anything or anyone else shaking in recent times had taken matters into it's own hands and started shaking itself !
Luckily my friend at the local paper confirmed last night that a lot of other people locally had felt it. My bed is not possessed. Or shaking. It's a bittersweet sort of satisfaction.
