There is a certain irony that they are advertising a gay dating service on that old board now.

I've been on the internet since it started back in September 1999. Beat that! Are we doing 'when did you first use the internet' now? I was in Australia in 95 and my geeky friends who were working in the industry, showed it to me! We did a virtual tour of the Louvre which was very basic, and then he made me do a Myers Briggs psychological test which freaked me out at the time! Now I'm more freaked that he made me do it rather than what the outcome was.

The first internet was invented in 1960s.
The internet started in its current form (the World Wide Web) in about 1991, I think.

The internet started in 1999 when I first used the internet, thank you very much.

I'm sure someone will be demanding photographic evidence any minute.

I'm sure someone will be demanding photographic evidence any minute. I'm sure that with the right combination of messageboard members we could verify this without photographs.

To be fair it's pretty clear who the link between the two is likely to be.

It's rude to discuss forum members when they're out of the topic you know.

Wow I've posted such a lot of crap in the past five years!
According to my profile I joined at 5.16am on April 15 2003, I think that must be a mistake at least the time anyway.

I'm a veteran! I used PJ since I was practically a baby (I was 15 I think).
Though I can't claim to be the first, I was probably the worst. I never use the PJ forums anymore, I'm not even sure if I still have an account. Part of me feels I should grieve, but for the past year/18 months the place has gone to shit. The problem is it's full of 15 year olds (or 20 year olds with all the mental capacity of 15 year olds), maybe I 'grew up', maybe I'm bored of it, maybe I'm just not that shit anymore... meh!
I remember LC & LI being on PJ, and there being a bit of a kerfuffle when they split. I was probably too busy dancing to Rachel Stevens or posting pictures of me in my pants to care to be honest.
I also remember the tedious LI-becomes-an-office thing which made no sense and started a seperatist board which sank faster than a lead balloon.

Is Lifeitself still going? And what happened to Chris... I remember he wrote some erotic fiction which I quite enjoyed.

Is his husband the American boy he pulled off the internet?

I used to go in the lowculture forum when it was still on PJ and I was only 14 (like scissorsister). I am 18 now and hopefully I post less shit (when I post at all). Only read the PJ boards every now and again, but every so often I do get the urge to reply to some of the crap the 14 year olds spout (which I probably was very guilty of, but meh).

In a couple of years I'm sure you'll look back at stuff you posted now and think it was crap. I know I do.... actually even stuff I posted 10 minutes ago.
