Oh my God, they shot Father Christmas! Out tomorrow. Unless you live in Southampton where we'll get it next Tues or Weds if it's like last week.

I looked on the website earlier to see when this was out. It's officially Christmas when the Christmas Radio Times is out.
I'll have to find my flourescent pen sent to plan my tv schedule.
I am officially excited!

Legendary? Really?
Are Disney poised to make a cartoon of it?

It always reminds me of the column I read somewhere (actually it might have been in Peter Corey's Coping with Christmas book. That or Charlie Brooker, I expect) that said the key difference between the Christmas Radio Times and TV Times (in this multichannel era, not the long-missed half the channels in each so you need to buy both and get double the excitement era) was that the Radio Times would always give you some traditional scene of snow, santa, robins etc, and the TV Times would feature Mandy Dingle in a festive basque.

Well, it's not out in any of the shops round here. In fact, I've only seen one that even has the issue before with Timothy Spall on. The rest are still hawking the Kylie Who cover.

It's out in London. It always takes a few days to make it right round the country as they have to print so many of them.

Aw, and I was going to go and buy it today as well. Will have to get it on Thursday along with the extraspecial bumper issue of Doctor Who Adventures.

It's nowhere to be found in Bournemouth either!

It has made it to Southampton!
Best snippet so far - Penelope Keith has a home studio so she doesn't have to interrupt her gardening for too long when she has an advert to voice.

The Christmas Edition of the Radio Times is Christmas!
Once it comes out you can almost smell the Turkey.

Well, the Timothy Spall edition (15-21) of the RT has made it to most shops as of today, and a few shops have now also got the Christmas TV Times, TV Quick and What's On TV, but Sheffield AND Leeds are as yet not granted the wonder of the Christmas Radio Times.

Neither is Aberystwyth according to the one shop we looked in. I quite want to highlight my way through it (ala LoveMusic) before losing it until some point in early January and weeping at all the good tv I've missed (ala Me, the last two years).

It's finally arrived in Cardiff. I was so absorbed reading on the train platform tonight I didn't even notice my train had arrived.

I nearly missed my station on the train home reading it. But I'm sure I don't remember it being this spoiler-ific in previous years. The soap opera rundown was basically "this is who's going to die", all the guest stars were given away, and cast departures were mentioned casually - perhaps I've been under a rock, but I had no idea Charlie was leaving Casualty after 5000 years, and I didn't know Lauren was going to be killed off by Catherine Tate either. What happened to subtle hints of what's coming up so we get a nice Christmas surprise? Thank God for Penelope Keith and Peter Bowles maintaining some dignity and class and refusing to talk about To The Manor Born. But I feel so much more Christmassy by just having it on my coffee table. I'm going to wait until the weekend before I start circling things. Why can't Sky sort out the Sky+ so that it is co-ordinated with the RT?

Has anyone seen the freaky baby in the advert on the inside of the cover?

Amazingly, it's arrived up here in the Scottish Borders. I was under the impression we'd get it on about Dec 23rd or something.

It's seeping into Sheffield. I found one shop with it in yesterday. I agree about the spoiler-tastic nature of it! Those two mentioned shocked me as well!
I am now panicking about the lack of room on my DVR to record everything I need to whilst I am with the family.
