Somebody gave me Mr Birthday and Little Miss Birthday yesterday. They both have sparkly, pretty covers and therefore cost 51p more than the normal Mr Men books.
I'm afraid to say that Little Miss Birthday is a far more enjoyable read than Mr Birthday. The latter just forgets his own birthday ( a plot development we had all seen coming), whilst Little Miss Birthday has the gripping dilemma of just what to give Mr Wrong for his birthday.
Mr Christmas and Little Miss Christmas had better be in my stocking this year.

The first Mr.Men books I can remember reading was Mr.Snow, which was a bit different from the other Mr.Men books, I suppose because he didn't really look like all the other Mr.Men (i.e the head is the whole body), he just looked like a mini snowman and actually had a torso. He had to help Santa deliver all the presents to the children if I remember rightly. The other was Mr. Mischief, and what I remember about that is he plays pranks on lots of people and then plays one on a wizard who casts a few spells on him, one involving a cake made out of mud and toothpaste. But I haven't read them for years, so I might be mistaken.
I think the Little Miss books started out a bit later than the Mr.Men books didn't they? There never seemed to be as many. I distinctly remember Little Miss Greedy being named Little Miss Plump originally. Not sure why that was changed. The first one of those I read was Little Miss Sunshine (obviously meant to be a female equivalent of Mr.Happy). She went to Miseryland and turned it into Laughterland, or something.
My favourite of the Mr.Men was probably Mr. Greedy, as I thought he was the funniest. My favourite Little Miss was Little Miss Shy. It was a rare occasion when the Little Miss was a lot more interesting than the Mr.Men counterpart (which would have been Mr. Quiet).
