I really wanted to see the film, but I am not 18 and nor do I really look it. But I was in Waterstone's the other day and saw the Sin City books, and I had just been given a £20 book token by a friend who didn't want it. I picked up the first two titles, "The Hard Goodbye" and "A Dame To Kill For" and I absolutely loved them. The artwork, storyline, everything - so good. Admittedly, "The Hard Goodbye" was better and I've since read online that "A Dame..." wasn't made a part of the film because the other stories are better. But the way the ones I got crossed over was so very clever. When the film comes out on DVD it will get a rental and perhaps a purchase, and next week I will be buying the third book.
