Gameboy Sega Megadrive Playstation Playstation 2 Dreamcast
My favourite probably being my Sega Megadrive because I have got such a lot of use out of it. The Dreamcast was pretty shit however.

Sega Master System 2. Well-loved. I was really into it for a while (even though it was 1993/4/5, and it was already so, so, so past-it). Loved Sonic and Sonic 2, especially. Had Ecco the Dolphin, and it was crap. Lucky Dime Caper and Castle of Illusion were both ace, but never actually finished them (they both had a shit bit which was impossible for me to get past just before the end). Sonic Chaos was also nice. Populous was fun / awful depending on which level you were on. The Ninja was just annoying. But it was all great and fun for a few years.
Sega Mega Drive 2. Already dying out; continued the theme of me only getting stuff about four years after everyone else has got sick of it and moved on to something farm far better. Only ever owned Sonic 2 and Sonic & Knuckles for it (though, to be fair, they do slot together to make another game that's not actually very good), and also X-Men, but only because my mum found it in the lost property at her school. No instructions. Annoying. Though Cyclops was pretty hot.
And that's it to date. Yes, I know.

Hmm. Pretty much everything from the end of the eighties onwards. I used to have a Neo Geo MVS Six Slot arcade cabinet too, but it had to go to the tip when I moved to London. Heartbreaking.

GameGear Classic Gameboy N64 Playstation Gamecube GBA
Used to have a MegaDrive and a SNES as well, but The Mothership persuaded me to get rid of them about four years ago. Fool.

I use my classic Game Boy for Tetris alone, and I absolutley adore it. I don't like the new ones, they're all small and fiddly. I like something hard and strong to grab hold of (oo-er). I'll play it till it falls apart, as it quite literally did the other day. The front panel fell off when I stabbed the B button a little too hard.

yeah, i've seen them around, but they're all slightly skanky. a brand new one, untouched, boxed would be cute. i had one when they first came out. no idea where it is now.
but i don't know how you can't like the new GBAs, mackenzie. they're gorgeous, perfect, like makeup compacts but with electronic entertainment instead of boring old powder.
other consoles i don't have but sort of wish i did, except i already have no space anywhere near my tv: an atari jaguar with tempest 2000, and a panasonic Q.

Playstation 2- We only ever used this for watching DVDs and it goes unused now we all have DVD players. I like Britney's Dance Beat and GTA Vice City, even though it's really hard and I don't understand what you are meant to do. I love the SingStar dance party....We record our singing and listen to it back. I'm suprised the neighbours haven't complained.
Sega Master System (SECOND BEST EVER). The very last game I ever got for this was Lucky Dime Caper which I remember being a lot harder than I appreciated. My "built in" game was Alex the Kid which I was chuffed to the shit about because all my friends had Sonic and couldn't find Alex the Kid to buy on disk anyway. I did love Sonic though. I also had this really cool game about this little guy with a sword who was in this castle. I really loved it although I can't remember what it was called. I had the Sega gun thing as well for the war games (mine was called Wolf Man or something) and we used top run round the house "shooting" each other with the guns. The best ever ever Sega game though was California Games. I loved the rollerskating.
Game Boy Original- I had this for years and years and the only game I ever had for it was Tetris. How sad is that? However, years later I did get this Tazmanian Devil but it was really hard. The inside of the game boy screen collected so much dust that it was really hard to see what was happening in the games but eventually, after been dropped a thousand and twelve times, the screen fell off so I could wipe it clean then stick it back together.
Game Boy Advance- Got this the day they came out in the UK. Had it about a month and then lost it. It's in the house somewhere, I just don't know where. My sister pinched my battery pack and lost it. Mario Carts was ace.
Amiga A 500 + (the BEST EVER). I had loads of cool games for the Amiga...a massive box full of them, even though it was a hand me down and it was owned by both of my older sisters before I got my mits on it. I really loved the Dizzy the Egg game! I also had this word processing thing for it that read your sentences everytime you pressed return! We would spend hours writing "crap" and "shit" on it.Hehehe.

I'm obviously not that into my retro -- my only consoles at present are my Gamecube, my SP and my DS.
Where I come from, games-wise, looks more like:
Spectrum Sinclair Amiga A1000 / A500+ GB PC SNES N64 GC
No NES, but my friend Adam had one. I have vivid memories of being so, so jealous of his Duck Hunt pistol. Since I switched from the Amiga to a PC, my console gaming has been exclusively Nintendo. I wouldn't know what do with a PS or an X-Box.
