Stand up comedian and ex SMTV presenter (the memories of the awful Eminememmerdale are still with me). He's from Glasgow, and is really funny. A lot of his jokes you weren't sure if they were scripted, or if he really did think of them off the top of his head. I know comedians are meant to be like that anyway, but he's really good at it. He does this stutter thing where he begins a sentence, but can't get it out properly and he ends up saying something completely different, i.e., he tries to say "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", which turns into "Lionel Richie".
He's previously appeared as a regular on The Live Floor Show, and spent a few months as a presenter on Beat 106. This was his first show all on his own, and he said he'd been quite nervous. Aww, bless!
My own criticism is that a few of his jokes I'd heard months ago in his routine on the telly (ie, talking about his dog getting turned on by the dog in the Churchill advert). I'd have thought he'd have written all material for his new show, but I guess there would only have been a small proportion who'd actually seen his act on (scotland only) television and he wanted to keep some of his best material in.
