Simon Amstell is appearing at a benefit gig at the Pleasance tonight, which is all ace and lovely and I'd be there at the drop of a hat if it wasn't for the fact that I'm going to see Mark Thomas tonight and his show finishes when the benefit starts. Argh! If this is the only Amstell performance on the Fringe this year then that makes it two years in a row that I've missed seeing his stand-up.
Damn you Fate!

Nooooooooo!
You should totally bump Mark Thomas and go to see The Amstell. Mark Thomas is sooooo predictable.
What time does the Amstell thing start? Bollocks I have to work tres late tonight. Someone has to go!

By 'tonight' I meant Tuesday, so it's already been and past, sorry. What made it worse was that when I told my mate, who I was seeing Mark with, he casually mentioned that the Amstell was at a party he was at on Monday night. Salt and Wound were very much the words that came to mind.

If only the TV Fest was accessible to the public, I'd be there like a shot. Hopefully it does mean he'll be appearing on another bill somewhere, though. I'll keep my eyes open.

I saw him attending but not performing at a Comedy gig for TV Fest crowd on Saturday (was working there). He performed at a similar function last year and was brilliant. Wish I had known he was at the Pleasance. Poo.
