javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.phpThe Firefox extension is really handy, although you're not getting a great quality video, because they're all converted to flash streaming format when they're uploaded to the site. The help section shows you how to convert to a more convenient format, but it really ups the file size.

Is there another way of saving the youtube vids for ipod or whatever? I downloaded the Firefox thing but can't get it to work even though I'm on a Mac.

You can just put the video link into the box at the top of the site, which then gives you a link to download. You have to make sure you save the files, or rename them, as .flv though, which is flash video. You need this www.videolan.org/vlc/ or this www.martijndevisser.com/2005/10/flv_player_updated.html to be able to play them. So if you wanted them on an ipod, you'd have to find something to convert them, if that's possible.
