Awww, thanks for reminding me of this song. It's No Ordinary Morning by Chicane.

With this in mind we've been listening to Joni Mitchell's 'Both sides now' on repeat (2000 version) but I said there was a sadder song than this. It's about a girl who realises she'll never be 'the prom queen' type and that she's bookish and plain and that is just the way of the world - it's very much in the style of both sides now - anyone have an idea of artist or title? 'At Seventeen' by Janis Ian?

HRRRRNK!
Another Emergency Music Question...
Have a feeling this will be a tough one but does anyone know this song...
I don't know any of the lyrics but it's quite old (late 70's/early 80's) it's a rock/indie band, sounds similar to New Order or The Cure and has a really uplifting instrumental at the beginning. It sounds like In Between Days by The Cure but it isn't. It's been driving me mad for about a week trying to think what it is any everybody I know knows the tune but not what the song is.

Unfortunately not. Thanks anyway.
The bit at the beginning of the song I'm on about sounds a bit this song at 0.36:

Erm, that's a toughie with so little to go on. The Life of Riley by the Lightning Seeds sounds a little like Inbetween Days...?

I know, Rad. It's so frustrating. It's not the Lightning Seeds either. *Sob*

Pretty in Pink? Of course it doesn't sound like The Cure, so maybe a long shot!
