Well it's May, and a bank holiday has sprung up from nowhere. Hooray....
So to improve the mood of LC after the events of yesterday, what's everyone up to.
I am going to a friend's fancy dress party tonight as Rocky Balboa.

Spending time in the sunny south with family and friends - I hope the sun holds out as one of my best friends is home from Hong Kong for the week and we've planned a bbq. (I am upset though that I won't be in fancy dress or on a bouncy castle!!)
Happy bank holiday weekend everyone! xx

I have no plans as yet so will probably end up lying in and doing a bit of marking and being a bit bored.

I'm going to do a bit of spring cleaning. I thought about going shopping but figured that I might as well wait til next week because it will be really busy this weekend and I hate shopping when its busy. I was invited to a friends birthday party on Monday but I'm not going because I've fallen out with another friend who'll be there and I don't want him making a scene and spoiling the party.

I have to stay in all day today watching a builder who is frankly fucking inept. He's putting in windows, and his filler-putty-spray-can has exploded over the whole street. He's covered my neighbours car in fucking putty, and made matters worse by trying to clean it.
Argh!

I'm in the garden, finding out if we actually have flower beds under all the weeds. So far the verdict is sort of.
Then I have to mow the winters growth of lawn with an ancient blunt push powered mower.

Sure is - I'm getting pissed up tonight, which is unheard of on the Sabbath.

I'm going out to my local for a pub quiz and lot of drink with some mates from work tonight.
Tomorrow will feature lazing around and eating biscuits.

Bank Holidays are the best! And it's a lovely sunny day to boot. I am watching my beloved Homes Under the Hammer in my jammies, while drinking coffee and reading LC = pure luxury. If I successfully avoid my mum, who wants to 'project manage' me decorating my bathroom, I might pop into town and buy a book, some accessories and new heated rollers for my barnet. Then I shall do some sewing and ironing. Oh and I need to get a new bus pass too. Woo!

I hope the weather is nice as I quite want to go and sit out in the garden and read, although with next doors cats fighting with the squirrels and them all winding up the other next doors psycho dog, it may not be the peaceful exercise that I am hoping for.

I'm going to a lesbian barbecue a bit later. I've never been to one before, I hope I don't make a lesbian barbecue faux pas.

I imagine it'll be a load of girls wearing Fat Face and there being at least one argument by the end of the night. There's always an argument when lesbians are around in my experience.

I want to be having a barbeque, but as yet I've received no confirmation of any event, so I'm baking a cake and wishing I had my toothbrush with me

I haven't seen the news as yet today, but as the weather is glorious in Glasgow I imagine the headline will be 'Temperatures Soar For Holidaymakers!' with footage of peely wally people with their tops off in the park, walking along proms, clips of tailbacks on the motorway and maybe an interview with someone who's had to work today, like an ice cream man, but who's very good humoured.
The 2nd item will be an horrendous murder or war torn country in despair.

I have just come back from the cinema in London's trendy media district She-Bu and it was fun. I saw Niamh from I'd do anything on the tube back. I am very pleased I was not in work today.

I own fat face. A bag, I've had it for years and it's still ace. Although my plans changed slightly, I went to watch Iron Man at the Printworks, mooched around some drunken emo kids at some rock concert thing near the URBIS, and RAN to Waterstones on Deansgate getting there within one minute of the place shutting and having a very surreal moment where I was sure I spotted someone possibly from Low Culture and then slowly realised that my memory for the people on the facebook groups is scarily good and that I really should apply to talent exams. And I bought Shortbus for £8. Which is a bargain.

I had a LOVELY Bank Holiday Monday. Except for the bit where I ricked my neck somehow, and spent the evening being sick with pain.

There were some lesbians in Fat Face! But only in the pub afterwards. All my lesbians are very pretty and have good fashion sense, although entirely inept at not burning every single item that comes within a metre of the barbecue. I feared for my eyebrows.
