Go Russia! Beat those Spanish asses, if only to piss off Mrs JSW, who has spent the last few weeks doing an impression of that Scouse kid from the BBC ad and going on about how "elastic" Torres is. And Torres was taken off! HA!

but the way they dealt with the racial incident with the manager was disgraceful, and I don't want him to win anything. Que?

Well last night was very boring untill the penalties. I was so pleased for the little Spanish keeper, he seemed lovely. Looks like the Italy magager can go back to being in The Flaming Lips now.
I hadn't heard about the racism thing but it doesn't suprise me. It's a very homogenous culture in Spain (aside from some north Africans in the south who the police like to slap about) and they get away with shit like that all the time.

I know I should support my sweepstakes, but I'm glad Turkey are gone. They're so boring to watch with just a few moments of excitement.
Someone said to me that they play with emotion, and while they were still emoting over their equaliser, cool German efficiency came along and orchestrated a winning goal. Lovely.

Germany were shit- sorry but Turkey woz robbed.
How bloody cool/scarey were all the blackouts and storms?? I would love to have been in Gary Linekers studio and watched all the rain and lightning from my warm security.

I missed last night's excitement as I was doing a Come Dine With Me thing, (I marked them a 10 - the brown bread ice cream was indescribably good) but tonight's was pretty boring to begin with, but thank heavens for Cesc. His little flick for the second goal was pure artistry, as good as a Cathy Dennis key change, and the third was pretty special too.

I am thrilled to still be in, especially after my Jodie sweepy triumph.
Although less said about my Apprentice one the better - Lyndzi

Bad luck to Rad. Always the bridesmaid, eh? I've really enjoyed this tournament, and while the football in the final isn't nearly as good as the semi-finals and quarter finals it's been a good outcome. I'm sad for the Germans but they've won enough, and just weren't good enough tonight. How long until the World Cup?

Did you have that pic prepared, or did you photoshop it between the final whistle and posting?

I did it about 80 minutes in, when it became clear Germany weren't going to score.
And a final mention to Roberto Rosetti, the hot Italian referee.

This tournament has been absolutely brilliant I'm actually gutted its all over and there will be no more football for the next 6 weeks. It's been all the more enjoyable without the hyping up and inevitable disappointment of England being there and really highlights the gulf between us and the other European nations. There were some amazing teams in the competition not just Spain and its been a real joy to watch.
Plus there have been some mega buff hotties so seriously no complaints here. I think I love Casillas.
