That was seriously weird last night - Andi and Liz may as well advance to the final now as the serious nitpicking that was going on at Mick and Mark seemed a tad over the top considering that Liz burnt her pudding and her gravy and that Andi went against what he was told to make and then someone moving the sauce became Micks fault.
...and why were they making meatballs anyway? Surely not as a backup incase the celebs made an arse of it. ....and what happens if the first 110 builders all wanted stir fried chicken? ....and was Andi cooking the gammon on the same grill pan as he'd just cooked the chicken?

I really liked Liz in her heat, but I think it's clear she's kind of out of her depth at this stage. There's a lot of John/Greg talking about she's good for someone who's never used an oven/roasted a chicken/used a spoon before and me going "splutter splutter MASTERCHEF splutter splutter"
It wasn't Mick's fault that someone moved the sauce whilst it was cooking, but shouldn't he have tasted it before taking it off the heat? And hence realised there was no bacon in it?

I wondered about the meatballs, too, but I'm guessing they were doing their own food as well as the celebs - the celebs didn't offer any fish or veggie courses either so the in-house people probably did that.
I'm wondering if they were being picky with Mark and Mick to RAISE THE TENSION.

Is Andi Peters not a LowCulture hero? No, he most certainly is not.

Did anyone else think that when Liz said tonight that she hoped they really liked her "soup" that she really meant herself? She does seem awfully needy!

Is Andi Peters not a LowCulture hero? No, he most certainly is not. It's safe to say any Lowcultural goodness Andi Peters performed whilst he had his hand up Edd the Duck was nullified by the evil committed whilst he had his hand up Tim Kash. Carrotline, you're not the only one who noticed Liz and her apparent insecurities. Mind you, the competition seems to MEAN THE WORLD to every contestant - I can't believe how often Mark wells up.

They all seem a bit shit apart from Mark (even if his food does occasionally look like kids party food). Therefore Mark will no doubt get eliminated tonight leaving us with Liz and her one-pot dishes and constant need for approval, Andi with his weirdly intense OCD approach to presentation and his food that tastes of nothing, and Louis with his constant general fuck-ups.
Although Mark constantly calling Louis "Lou" and finding any excuse to touch him is starting to get a bit too homoerotic, even for me, so maybe it's for the best.

Mick seems the best to me but thats cos I want him to win and have Sinbad come in and congratulate him.
I wonder if raw Partridge is as dangerous as raw chicken?

Seeing that Chelsea Pensioner carrying Liz's starter out to the table just made me think "Two soups!" Perhaps that's why it was so popular - there was nothing left in the bowl by the time it got to the table and they were too polite to mention it.
Andi Peters is really scaring me. With the muscular arms and strange facial hair, he's like an evil twin version of the one who sobbed on Live and Kicking. I hope he loses just to see him Hulk out. And "I've never come fourth before in my life"? Wasn't he kicked out of Dancing on Ice after about two weeks?

Mick 'Johnno' would have this all sewn up if they set one of the rounds in a chippy.
You can't tell me that after spending the best part of 15 years of his life pretending to serve up cod and chips to the fictional residents of Brookside that he learnt nothing.
Man, I miss Brookside!

I'm kind of worried what Mark might do if he doesn't win. Especially surrounded by ovens, gas, and sharp implements.

How come the celebrity masterchef finalists are crap at cooking though? It's all below-par pub grub and they've nearly poisoned about 11 folk with their blatant disregard of meat cooking times.
Liz puts me off my dinner with her clumpy mascara running down her blubbing face and from what he's been coming out with that Mark guy will have little to live for if he looses.
I can barely bring myself to watch this series it's so tragic.
