Is quite possibly the worst book I have attempted to read since lowculture imploded, I just dont get the hype surrounding this exceptionally languid plot where every single character is a horrid person and all everyone bloomin does is talk about what other people have been talking about in meetings we havent been at.
Its hideous, its taken me 6 months to get 250 pages into it and I've lost the will the live.
Can anyone explain to me why this has been so lauded, I dont think I've been so at odds with popular opinion since The Damned United.
I read an Agatha Christie this week to cheer me up.

Yeah, I was a tad underwhelmed too. It annoyed me that she always refered to Cromwell as 'he' even when in a room of half a dozen other men. This was especially annoying when another male character had just done something and I had to try and remember that the 'he' didn't refer to the last mentioned character but to Cromwell. Gah!
