I liked this a lot. A smart, very British alternative to all the gungho baseball battyness of the Walking Dead. Worryingly only three episodes and BBC Three's drama policy seems to now be a one shot approach with no chance for another series which seems insane.

I'm still absolutely livid about the axe of The Fades - I just can't get over why they'd ditch one zombie drama to commission another. And I get that The Fades rated slightly too old for BBC Three's cunty demographics shit, but In The Flesh doesn't feel particularly younger.
That said, I did enjoy it. It was very, very dark - actually quite uncomfortable to watch in places. I'll be intrigued to see where they take it.

I never saw The Fades but I thought this was great - really interesting take on the Zombie idea.

Brilliant. It's a gay zombie romance. And a really good one at that.

I'm a bit behind on this, having only just watched the first episode, but it won me over with the scene of Kieren and his dad playing the Game of Life. There was just something so cringeworthy about that gag, and yet so endearing at the same time, that I was sold. And then there was the scene where the mum picks up a chainsaw to protect the house from the HVF, and I was definitely on board.

I really hope they bring this back for a six-part series (and that part three maintains the standard)

Second series now please. So many threads left hanging that I want answers to!

I did hope our zombie hero would end up with his zombie soldier boyfriend.

Finally caught up - I ended up really loving this, I thought it got better with every episode. I suppose it had a neat enough ending if they don't decide to commission any more, but I agree with Rad, there's a lot more that I want answered - especially that zombie evangelist guy with the website.

I wonder if they kept the gay storyline relatively covert so as not to scare off viewers too early. Even now, I've got friends who watched it and didn't really twig that aspect of it. Maybe they'll explore it a bit less ambiguously next series, but there's a lot more that I hope gets answered.
