Well the opener is really, really good. Definitely reminds me of Twin Peaks (TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD!!!) and slowly eeked out the reveals to create something really special. Very interested to see if they can keep it up.

Yes, it was very good.
I didn't really get the Camille and Léna were supposed to be twins until the end; did I miss some signposting? I love Julie's slutty neighbour – I wonder what her significance will be?
Mr Costa burning down the house was quite a shocker. Are we supposed to infer that he originally murdered her and that's why he was so freaked out (aside from the obvious freakiness of "O HAI DEAD WIFE")?
It was great. Can't wait to see what happens next. And it's only 8 parts so it won't take over my life, as some US imports tend to try to do.

I really enjoyed it as well and loved the French ad break.
Interesting that the characters weren't all missing/dead for the same period of time but have all come back at the same time...

This was excellent. I only caught up last night, so didn't get the French adverts on 4OD. There were bloody loads of others though! That never occurred to me, good call. I don't think we were meant to realise Camille and Léna were twins until that flashback *gasp!* I like how it's not signposting everything and is leaving us to work some things out for ourselves, like them dying at different times. As long as it doesn't stay too mysterious and we don't get answers. Will dead subway woman come back to life tonight?

I'm a couple of weeks behind (as I am with nearly everything), but I just wanted to take a moment to express my grief over the death of Julie's nosy neighbour. Truly, she was taken from us too soon. (I suppose it's too much to hope she'll be resurrected before the end of the series?)

That neighbour was so brassy. The set dressers did an excellent job with the five seconds you saw inside her flat. And did you see what she thought was suitable funeral attire? I was huffing and heaving my bosom like a Les Dawson old lady throughout.
It is brilliant, though. Caught up with 4 episodes in one night and had an extra spring in my step knowing it was on again last night. Its one of the first shows I've seen in ages where we discuss all our theories throughout the next week. The way its shot is beautiful, and the music they play whenever Victor shows his giant head is just the right amount sinister. I can completely understand the Twin Peaks comparisons (but then I remember Desperate Housewives' first episode being compared to Twin Peaks so...yeah).
