Hilary was fantastic, actually. They managed to make her stay a bitch a lot longer than most people who move into Ramsey Street and get brainwashed by the niceness and goodness and wholesomeness. Probably because she dipped in and out of the programme for a bit before she settled in (so her long-lost son could turn up and 'replace' Jason Donovan). Of course, Hilary was a cat person, rather than a dog / sheep person, so she was never really going to be welcomed with open arms.
Bronwyn and Sharon's Aunt Edie! Another Neighbours old cow. They seemed to be breeding them for a bit (this was just after Mrs Mangel had left, of course). And she was friends with Hilary, hilariously enough.
Danni Stark had an evil boyfriend for a bit, when she was playing at being a fashion designer. I can't remember anything else about him, other than that he was evil and made her cry, but he was, and he did, so he was, although I'm not sure that actually happened.
Doug Willis's flaky sister Faye accidentally burned down Gaby's horrible triangle-interiored boutique. Subconscious evil!
Fiona Hartman's the one I remember most fondly. She didn't technically kill Jim, of course, but he probably wouldn't have had that heart attack if she hadn't reignited his libido and led him into dangerous middle-aged-Indian-summer-regular-fuck territory. If you narrow your eyes and squint, a bit, it almost looks like a murder plot.

Third Incarnation: Not quite sure here, but was there some adultery involved after the second return of Lucy as blond bombshell rather than curly haired dag? I'm fairly sure that she had an on/off affair with her own half brother, altough this was heavily edited out in the UK . So the woman who left Jim for dead was also Analise's mum? Didn't Analise have a half sister that turned up shortly after who was half as smart and twice as dumb?

Oh! Oh! Oh!
Lauryn, Lou's shameless daughter for having an affair with Brad and breaking him and Beth up.
And on top of that, doing all this while infected with chlamydia! Just to prove that she was unclean and fit to be damned.

I'm fairly sure that she had an on/off affair with her own half brother, altough this was heavily edited out in the UK . Yes! He was called Glen I think and he came about after Jim fucked around behind Mrs Robinson RIP's back when he was in Vietnam. But did he turn out not be Jim's son after some name tags were swapped when they were in the military hospital or something or other? And the first Lucy did go blind for a bit after falling into a drain, and she also had to have an emergency tracheostomy performed by Dr Ginger Clive with a bic and some gin after she was stung by a bee in the throat. The emergenc tracheostomy is an oft used dramatic device in soaps it seems. Another nominee for evil villian is Plain Jane Superbrain's nasty mother. Didn't she get all jealous when she returned having abandoned Jane with Mrs Mangel to discover Jane had become A Foxy ViXen and got all jealous.

Didn't she get all jealous when she returned having abandoned Jane with Mrs Mangel to discover Jane had become A Foxy ViXen and got all jealous. Yes yes yes! And thanks to that, we got the ultimate in soap reverse-transfer scenes (you know the one, girl takes off glasses to cries of "Oh, but Miss Jones, you're beautiful!"). Jane's Mum took her out to dinner and bought her something dowdy to wear. Jane tied her hair back, took off her lipstick, slipped into something tweedy and a pair of flat shoes. The momentary return of Plain Jane Superbrain. Officially the world's least convincing brainbox/secretary/supermodel.

She was one of those Rita-from- Corrie esque characters who always seemed to have lots of money lying around in the bank whenever anyone needed it, with no clear explanation of where it came from. Perhaps she was a bank robber offscreen, in which case she probably merits a mention as a Neighbours villain.

Just to prove that she was unclean and fit to be damned. I thought Brad gave it to her, as I remember Lou ranting at him that because of Brad, Lou would never have grandchildren. That girl loved her horses too much.

That girl loved her horses too much. That's because they're the best of all the animals.

I think that his mother had swapped name badges with smeone else for some reason, so Jim didn't realise that she was pregnant. I believe Glenn was Jim's son. Paul was suiatbly evil when he fell off the roof of Lassiters due to his poor health and safety and was in a wheelchair and went away forever.

Can anyone remember when Lucy Robinson used to always make an appearence every year? And every year she would fall in the lasiters pond?
I do wonder if I imagined this. I was young when this happened. But I do always remember her falling in the pond.

I had forgotten about so many of these characters. Thank you all for reminding me.
Why am I thinking that Lucy had a brain tumour? Did she? I do remember her falling down the drain - was she not found by a dog?

Her name was Jo, if I remember rightly. . She was the poutiest Neighbour ever, and such an awful actress. Lipgloss and pout , the sum of her. Jeez, I thought I was a huge fan, but I seem to forget each story as it disappears from screen. I can't believe that you remember so many characters. My uber villian would be Izzie for breaking up the good dr and his wife, and for the terrible dishonesty about her baby. I can't wait for the truth to be out.

They are dragging it out to almost Hollyoaks storyline proportions.

Why am I thinking that Lucy had a brain tumour? Did she? I do remember her falling down the drain - was she not found by a dog? Lucy Version 2.0 had a brain tumour. It was God's way of punishing her for falling down a drain and going blind when she was Lucy Version 1.0. And rightly so. Speaking of which, Mark Gottlieb became a bit of a bastard when he found religion and went mental, didn't he?

And, just to really put the boot in, Dominik Diamond said she was a right cow when she appeared on GamesMaster. Yes, but in all fairness Dominik Diamond would induce murderous impulses in Bouncer the dog. Lou's wife Cheryl was another character who underwent a personality transplant (after an impromptu head transplant which was then reversed). Their marriage went: happy happy happy suddenly-hates-Lou-and-demands-messy-divorce-for-no-reason. I loved her perm.

Wasn't it because she knew that she'd got up the duff by the man she met while kidnapped in Colombia visiting Brett on his round the world yatch thing? Chez Chez was a much better name than Lou's Place. Mark Gottlieb changed the coffee shop's name to Holy Rolls. Which it stayed like for several years after he left. Evil bastard. Thank Christ Harold came back when he did. Speaking of which, what about the woman who brainwashed Harold into thinking that he was her brother?

And as is par for the course for any Australian actress over a certain age, both Cheryls honed their 'skills' on Prisoner Cell Block H.

I loved her general taste. Wasn't she supposed to have won the lottery. She wanted to split up because of the kidnapping by rebels (plausible, as ever). I remember Lou saying how he hated her calling him Louis She won 900,000 dollars (a life changing sum apparently) somewhere between the formative years of Darren (poor childhood made him a badass) and and Brett and Danni (riches made them a geek and a spoiled brat). I was never sure how this worked as they were only a few years apart.
