And how does he always know what's on TV if he can't read the schedules? Exactly what I was thinking.

And how does he always know what's on TV if he can't read the schedules? "Eastenders A to Z" showed him actually reading the TV schedules to see what was on. Remembering stuff about your characters was never Eastenders strong point.

I've got a feeling their trying (possibly already have) to establish Keith as some kind of comic/feel sorry for loser type bloke in much the same vein as Barry " If only he wore slip on shoes!" Evans. It didn't work with him and it won't now.
This storyline is boring me. The only one I can sympathise with in it is Demi. She's the only one whose reactions seem the most likely to occur in real life.

While the storyline is rather boring, it has succeeded in making Rosie a sympathetic character.
More worryingly, this and the resurrection of the interminably dull Sonia/Martin/Chloe storyline are the first from the new production team. Hardly going to set the world on fire with adult literacy and adoption stories, are they?
While I'm in rant mode, whose bright idea was it to axe Jake and Danny? Those two, along with Chrissie and Johnny, are the only interesting characters the show has at the moment.
Now I hear Phil is back next week, hotly followed by Peggy and Grant I presume. I don't know about anyone else, but I would much rather have some new involving characters than dredge up others whose time has surely been and gone long ago.
I despair... and yet I'm still watching! Aargh!

The amount of TV Keith watches, you'd have thought he'd have seen those "get rid of your reading and writing gremlins" adverts. I am surprised none of the family have mentioned that to him yet? Neighbours did the illiteracy storyline better.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would much rather have some new involving characters than dredge up others whose time has surely been and gone long ago. That's what you get when you dredge up a producer whose time on Eastenders went long ago as well. He said to drop Jake and Danny because there were too many gangsters, from the man who gave us about 179 Slater girls and shoved them down our throats for the period he was there. The only good Slater is Stacey and he had nothing to do with her. On the upside Ross Kemp is nowhere near confirmed and ITV seem to be offering him an awful lot of money not to go back. Oh and sticking with the Slaters Little Mo and Alfie have managed the impossible in having even less chemistry than he did with Kat. The only one I can sympathise with in it is Demi. She's the only one whose reactions seem the most likely to occur in real life. Possibly because she's the only one of the Millers who can act.

Not for everyday life no. But if they need to buy a pub or a nightclub or a cafe then that's not a problem. But popping down to Ikea for a dinner table, that's just an impossible dream for the cast of Eastenders That's been a comedy problem with EastEnders for years now. I remember Mark and Ruth sitting in the caff many years ago, discussing their money worries over beans on toast, while my entire family shouted "stop buying beans on toast in the caff if you have no money!"
