Apols if a bit late but is anyone else enjoying the Nadine Baggott ad which for some reason is STILL running?
Are pentapeptides really still that hot?
Does anyone have any dirt on Ms. Baggot?

She's scary. Her face doesn't move and her eyes are just that little bit too upturned and stretched back to be natural.

I'd never heard of Nadine Baggott, which is odd because I watch more daytime television than the average housewife and I assume that's where she'd previously been doing the rounds.
She's blatantly botoxed within an inch of her life. Pentopeptides, my arse.

I do wish Harry Hill would include Adverts on TV Burp.

Incidentally, Nadine Baggott is the beauty 'expert' on Phil & Fern. Oh, I must've seen her then. She probably looks differentstanding up, and with less flattering lights and camera angles.

For some reason, whenever this advert comes on, I have to actually respond to her, very eagerly. Usually along the lines of:
"I'm Nadine Baguette, celebrity beauty editor." "Hi, Nadine!" "Right now, I think the hottest anti-ageing ingredients around are pentapeptides..." "Do you, Nadine?" "Hardly a celebrity price-tag." "No, Nadine." "Now that's a beauty secret worth knowing." "Wow. Thanks, Nadine."
Don't ask me why, but I do it every time.

Hee. Well, she probably refers that to "fuck off, you wizened old whore", which is the reaction she gets in my house.

She looks like someone who has had a lot of work done to look 'beautiful', rather than being naturally pretty, which must be the worst impression for a beauty product to give.

They don't listen to her - it's great! At least when I caught her on it, and she seemed to get a bit pissed off because Phil and Fern, who I sometimes half expect to play 'tag' around the studio, but this time I definately appreciated their giggles. These are very funny, too:

Every time I see these bloody ads now, I imagine Muinimula talking back to her, and it makes me laugh!

Every time I see these bloody ads now, I imagine Muinimula talking back to her, and it makes me laugh! Oh, how marvellous! As I say, I don't know why I do it, but now I can't stop myself. I have, of course, adopted her picture to adorn my posts for a while. I must dash to the shops; I'm running low on pentapeptides.

Ooh! The other day I was v bored and re-reading a book I got free with a magazine many years ago. The book is Turning Thirty by Mike Gayle. Anyway, the main character talks about lots of old classmates from school, one of whom is called... Nadine Baggott! (p119). Coincidence?

Does anyone else think that first clip is absolutely hysterical? I'm glad you liked it - I almost felt a bit weird laughing at people I don't know.

People laughing hysterically always makes me laugh. Plus she pulls the Olay out of her cleavage when she says 'I've just discovered...', which is genius.

Plus she pulls the Olay out of her cleavage when she says 'I've just discovered...', which is genius. I only noticed that on the second or third viewing, but it is indeed awesome. Also awesome? The fact that the tags for that video are "nadine" "baggot" "did" "not" "personally" "discover" "pentapeptides".

A massive shame that the sound's a bit out of sync, but it's still hilarious. I must say, I haven't seen Nadine in a while. Where did she go? Maybe she'll come back with a newer trendier product, with polyfluorides or something. The horror.

Has anyone else noticed that when Nadine is studiously writing down the word "pentapeptides", she has already written "tiny bits of protein" and "molecules"? I mean, molecules? REALLY? That kind of vaguery wouldn't get you through GCSE combined science.

There's more Vaseline on the lens of the new ad than in a Doris Day movie.
