Mark Gatiss was on the tube yesterday. I didn't say hi, although I've met him before. He went from Embankment to Waterloo. He really could have walked that distance.

Maybe he was changing lines? But yes that is incredibly lazy. In fact it's just a hassle, walking that distance is far easier.
Gina G - tell all, Paul. She touched my face at a Poptastic PA last year during I Belong To You. I was elated.

Yesterday, National Theatre, London. Kim Cattrall. She was very dressed down, but slightly radiant. I was *this* close to meeting her.

I've met Kim twice after seeing her at the theatre; Whose Life Is It Anyway at the Comedy in 2005 and The Cryptogram at the Donmar Warehouse last year. She's absolutely beautiful. Lovely woman, too.

I haven't met anyone fun. I had my photo taken with a Klaxon last month but that's probably not that interesting to anyone.
It's a little upsetting because I live in Cardiff and I haven't met anyone from Doctor Who yet. Then again, I do hang out in the grotty student bits. And if I met Tennant I'd probably die (or alternatively, try to kill Sophia. I'm just like that).
I've met someone... ex channel 5 newsreader... pretty, scottish, maybe Kirsty something? She was standing in for Michael Parkinson on his radio 4 show and one of my Auntie's friends (Gillian Reynolds) was on it, so I went along to the recording to see what it was like. But that's about as glamorous as my life gets.

LANG! Kirsty LANG.
My most recent spot was a slightly haggard-looking Dawna Walter. A prize to the first person who knows who she is. I was slightly excited.

Some scary train-and-celebrity shit is going on.
I've already mentioned in here that I saw both Charlie Off Corrie and Carl Barat at various stations last year, but in the past 5 days I've had one mate seeing Richard Attenborough at Coventry station (poor Sir Dickie ) and another mate catching a train from up north with none other than Alistair Appleton, and then this evening I was leaving Birmingham International when none other than Alison Hammond (!!!) was getting out of the lift with her child in a pushchair and her mother. They walked towards the monorail, which links to the airport, and Alison said "Where d'ya wanna go Mom? Barcelona?"
Possibly the greatest 4 seconds of my life, as I genuinely love Alison. I like to think they were just in the area and fancied a cheapo holiday, on a whim.

I saw Sarah Beeny at Basingstoke station on Friday. She was teeny. She is my landlady. We got a new washing machine for Christmas. I (working on the Kings Rd) keep seeing the prison guard from Bad Girls looking angry on his mobile phone. No, not Fenner. But the evil one apres-Fenner with the deep voice and big brown eyes. Didn't he shag Natalie Buxton on a day out? He is short. And angry looking.

Was at British Book Awards do last night. Saw lots of celebs on the stage, but only 2 up-close: Dara O Briain walked past me and Jamelia strutted past our table.
What Jamelia was doing there is anyone's guess.

I've seen loads (though, not necessarily a great calibre of celeb). Brian and Kerry (in happier times) in Majorca, both chain smoking while Kerry was pregnant with the second child. He was an areshole but she was lovely. Spoke to us for ages which made us think she was quite lonely. Alison Hammond in Brum (who hasn't) Brian Dowling and Anthony Cotton together in Birmingham Selfridges (both orange and as loud and obnoxious as each other). Jordan on a pub crawl on Broad Street with half a tit hanging out (no, not Peter). Michelle Ryan in Gran Canaria getting harassed by a bunch of lads. Big Bro's Nadia who was singing at Nightingales (she posed for pictures and had BO) Jonathan Wilkes (though I can't say where, but precisely no one would be shocked)

I have met/seen:
- Dennis Waterman on a train. My mum said we couldn't disturb him. It was circa 'On the Up'. - Danni Stark from Neighbours. She was appearing in panto in Grimsby and she signed some dtuff for a charity we were involved in. We had our picture taken with her in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph and everything. - I used to be in several lessons with Kim Gee (although she was Kim Braid then) off of Pop Idol series 2 before she jacked in college to sing on a cruise ship. - I used to be matey with Matt Stiff from G4 at college. We were in the orchestra together and a few plays. - I have randomly turned up to things The Queen and Princess Anne were doing in Sheffield (as in, I was passing and was 'what's going on here'). - I met the brown haired one from Ace of Base at a Christian conference in Sweden. - Author Marina Lewycka (of A Short History of Tractorsin Ukranian fame) used to teach me at uni and is allegedly one of my colleagues although she's never here. - Another colleague, Sheldon Hall, is a talking head on some of those C4 100 best arthouse films ever shows - I met the previous Archbishop of York, and I know the son of the previous Archbishop of Canterbury.
I bet you're all jealous of my amazing celebrity spotting talents.
When I was at school Princess Diana game to Grimsby. Probably something to do with the hospital (now called Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial hospital, fact fans). My mum let me have the day off school to go - and then I got sick so had to stay at home. Boooo!

I have just been standing behind the woman who played Ma Boswell in Bread in the speedy queue in Waitrose. Here is what I noticed -
She is utterly tiny. Like Ian Holm in the Lord of the Rings. Her head barely brushed my breasts (I am 5' 10 ish in my shoes today)
She is actually quite posh and well spoken- almost the anti Boswell. That is the power of acting.
She clearly likes ethnic jewellery and tops. She was a vision in jewel coloured velvet.
She spent much time deliberating between 20 silk cuts and 20 marlboro lights - in the end she plumped for the silk cuts and 20 marlboro reds. She tried to engage the cashier in a lighthearted conversation about the price of fags, but the latter wasn't having any of it.
She reads the Evening Standard.

Apart from Maggie Smith who I'm sure everyone keeps bumping into(I have bumped into her 3 times), Victoria Wood there aren't that many people. Hmmm. Well Catherine Tate and that's about it really.

During my time as an estate agent in Highgate about 10 years ago Annie Lennox came into our office and I registered her details. I talked to her on the phone a few times and eventually showed her round a flat in Bisham Gardens that she was looking to buy for her mother. Highate Village was a good place for star spotting. I used to see Victoria Wood round the village all the time. Ditto Andy Bell from Erasure, who used to buy flowers from the florist next door and George Michael used to walk past (always with bodyguard in tow) on occassion also. There was also Les Dennis, but that really wasn't nearly as interesting or exciting.

Jamie, I'm jealous of Maggie Smith (and no, I don't know anyone who just bumps into her all the time) but even more so of Victoria Wood. I. Love. Her.
I've met the Spice Girls lots, but I wouldn't count those meetings because they weren't at all accidental.

Last night we gave Jenny Eclair directions to the Clarence pub in Balham. She looks a lot prettier in real life, but talks exactly the same (when I said there were clocks on the wall and she bellowed 'COCKS on the wall!' I thought we were going to get our own mini stand up routine. Alas, no).
All slightly ruined by my housemate who said, as we were walking off, 'I can't believe we just gave Sue Pollard directions!'. Thank God she didn't say hi-de-hi. But now she mentions it, they are remarkably similar.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Girls Aloud twice and I have to say that they are absolutely charming, especially Cheryl and Nicola. Unfortunately I was extremely pissed both times, so I think they were quite scared of me by the end. They did give me autographs though and Cheryl drew me a heart *sigh*

Hm, I'm sure I've posted my star spots on here before but perhaps not. Anyway they are so damn exciting that the world needs to know. I have the same dentist as Josh from Casualty. I saw Gog from Peep Show at the Edinburgh Fest and Simon Amstell sat next to me during a Josie Long gig. Todd from Corrie was spotted in the Cornerhouse in Manchester (saw him walking along the road later on near the village and people were shouting at him "Coronation street!!!11!", oddly.) Also, Bono in Florence. I spoke to him and everything but not before commenting from afar "Oh GOD, how much does THAT guy want to be Bono!?" (he had those yellow glasses on and everything). He was very friendly and the whole thing was quite surreal. I saw Amy Lame at a Morrissey gig and Hayley from Corrie in a pub in Manc.
Sadly no Neighbours spots yet, I think I might severely embarrass myself if that happened though.
