Jessie Wallace is leaving EE at Xmas, together with Alfie. Gutter. I have no idea why else to watch it if kat AND Chrissie are going.

I was just about to post this. Just as well most of us aren't getting emotionally involved in the Mo/Alfie/Kat love triangle, isn't it?
Tina Stewart is going to leave later this year as well. They're obviously not big on giving characters time to settle in right now.

They're obviously not big on giving characters time to settle in right now. Instead relying on characters who settled in a while ago, left the show and who are coming back despite the fact we really weren't that interested in seeing them the first time round.

Just as well most of us aren't getting emotionally involved in the Mo/Alfie/Kat love triangle, isn't it? I know, but i hate drippy Little Mo and i'm pretty sure you do as well. who gave the producers the idea that we liked the idea of Mo and Alfie as a couple? I can't even watch when they're on screen together. Every scene that they're in together is practically the same as well. Mo: Alfie, you've got to tell Kat about this or she's only going to get hurt! Alfie: Yeah Mo, i've tried and I will. It's just really hard for me. Mo: Yeah, but you've got to remember we love each other. End of scene. Repeat 3-4 times per episode. Last week it was exactly the same except the roles were reversed and it was Alfie telling Mo to give Billy the push.

who gave the producers the idea that we liked the idea of Mo and Alfie as a couple? Probably the same reason that somebody decided that getting Joey and Rachel together in Friends was a good idea - it worked on paper, but no one had anticipated it being quite such a hideous mess in the execution.

:-( I'll be sad to see her go, but since her and Shane are leaving at the same time, I'm hoping to see Kat and Alfie skip off into the sunset.

Will there be an angry mob of lowculture people hunting me down if I say I'm not upset at all that Kat's leaving? I go through phases of liking and disliking her, and right now I just don't care.
I also hate the love triangle. The Friends Joey and Rachel plot was off to me because it seemed like they were more brotherly and sisterly before and having them dating just seemed odd. This whole Mo/Alfie/Kat thing just doesn't convince me either.
