apparently. He'll "ruffle a few feathers". I didn't even know we were going to get to see Janine's murder trial. Is Janine coming back for Janine's murder trial? That would be quite nice.
Also, Pat gets a new 19 year-old nephew, etc etc etc, "a combination of Alfie Moon and Del Boy", which sounds fairly monstrous.

Is this real, or it just another of the almost weekly rumours released by the BBC (I imagine) to get eastenders in the papers? Virtually everyone who's ever been on Eastenders has been rumoured to be coming back!

Apparently Janine's murder trial is somehow not going to involve Janine, as Charlie Brooks is `busy'
Quite how that's going to work out is anyone's guess
Pat's nephew sounds like a prime demonstration of why Eastenders has turned shite...will they EVER learn?

Pats "New" nephew is played by Matt Di Angelo who was also in that " I Dream" Series.

I think I may start watching Eastenders again.

I knew I recognised the name and face, but was having trouble placing either. Possibly because nobody watched I Dream, even me.
I think Charlie Brooks has the right idea. Maybe Janine's murder trial will be like Beth's death in Brookside, played with the camera just that little bit too far to one side to capture the character while someone else talks to them, with the occasional extra's arm thrown in for good measure.
Also, Frank's return is the top news story on the BBC's intranet right now, so I'm guessing it's pretty real.

Matt Di Angelo looks even more retarded than Chris Parker.

Is that a euphemism?

Matt Di Angelo looks even more retarded than Chris Parker. He looks a bit like Chris Parker. Chris parker sounds a lot less gay on the movie review thing on this morning than he did in eastenders. I liked Frank. But then I think the story with him and Rula Lenska was not good.

I didn't say gay! I said retarded. He looks like he sees the world in primary colours.

The producers will scrape a hole in that barrel if they're not careful. Mike Reid couldn't act his way out of a bowl of noodles, yet they bring him back again and again and again. Don't get me started on the truly horrifying sex scenes with him and Pat. The scars have not yet healed.

Ugh. Everytime someone mentions Frank (which, to be quite honest, isn't that often these days), I get that image in my head. You know the one I mean: Frank. Pat's back door. Twirling dicky bow. Not much else. Ewwww.
What is Charlie Brooks so busy with that she can't even make it back for a few episodes? I haven't seen her on anything in ages.

No, that would be if he smelt the world in primary colours.

She's in the BBC adaptation of Bleak House, which is due to air in the autumn sometime. She's also due to do a guest spot in The Bill or Holby City or one of those shows quite soon, but I forget exactly which one.

Its just another example of how the producers re-use the same ideas time and again because the first time they used them they had such a great response from the viewing public so they think it will work again. It won't.
The whole problem with the program is it has hit a rut requiring new ideas, storylines and character dynamics in order to move everything on. Bringing Frank and the mitchells back won't do this.

The only way this would work is if Janine did come back, and Pat broke down in court and admitted that Janine did have an alibi, and Janine smiled and turned away, then walked out of the courtroom and into a beautiful sunset, silhouetted against it as she walked down the street with all the money she got from selling her house to Jonny, laughing as she went.

Pat would never break down in court. And if Janine did get off she'd just hunt her down and batter her to death with some 60s hooker shoe.

And now Roy's gone to the great scrap metal dealer in the sky, has anyone else got the grave forboding of a Pat and Frank reunion.
Remember the dicky bow tie and nothing else?
*shudder*
This could kill the programme off once and for all.
Incidentally, Janine could always come back with a different head. It's not like it hasn't happened before.

Incidentally, Janine could always come back with a different head. It's not like it hasn't happened before. See I don't think that would work because unlike Sam Mitchell, Janine was a bloody good character a lot of which was down to Charlie Brooks, I think, that played her. I think viewers would be very fucked off if her face was swapped for someone elses.

Recent form suggested they couldn't make a good decision if it was served on a silver salver garnished with mint and parsley.

Who is Pat related to again? What was her relationship to the Wicks? She wasn't Bianca's dad's mother was she? She has also married Frank and Roy but had no kids with them, correct? Did she have something with Ian Beale's dad? edit the bbc told me all about Pat
