Did anyone else watch this last night?
I found it strangely unsatisfying. A lot of the dialogue just seemed to come out of nowhere, for example near the end where Little Mo turned to Kat and said something to the effect of "After everything that happened with Trevor you said you'd stand by me." So I thought "oooh, she's going to come back here with some kind of massive betrayal that Kat made that's going to make Kat feel really bad", but she basically just said that Mo had stood up for herself and gone for Alfie, and that Kat should respect that, which is basically the worst argument in the world ever...
...except possibly Kat's attempt to argue the "poor me" angle, by complaining about her terrible life to Mo. The first thing she used. "My uncle raped me." Fair enough, very traumatic, but can I suggest not using this as an argument as to why you are neglected and deserve sympathy to your sister who has been raped by two different men: one was her husband, and one was a relative stranger who attacked her just after she was getting over everything that happened with her violent and abusive husband.
Also, Kat's argument that infidelity only exists if there was sex? A seriously fucked-up argument, and I didn't think it rang true, even for someone as sexually voracious as Kat.
At the end of it all, I just wanted to smack their heads together, because they were both acting like idiots, and for what? Alfie? Is he really worth it?
As a final point, I'd like to suggest to EastEnders that any confrontation between two Slater sisters set in the Slater family home is inevitably going to compare poorly to the Kat/Zoe "you ain't my muvva!" "yes I am!" episode, where Zoe grabbed Kat and rammed her headfirst into the worktop. I'm just sayin'.
