She's been in Corrie a few weeks now -- what are our thoughts?
Last night's acting was... not exactly tip top. The Comediennes Make Great Actresses rule sort of applies, but maybe only when they're playing total monsters. Debra was the best thing about Bad Girls but maybe the fact is she cannot act on a subtle level. Then again, who knew Kate Ford would turn out to be so convincing a performer after her horrendous opening weeks? I'm just worried that Frankie'll go the way of the Ferrieras unless she gets some proper storylines (like Tracy and her baby selling empire).
And I don't know about everyone else, but I keep expecting her to stab Danny/Karen/whoever with a smashed wine glass.
Plus, have Cilla and Frankie come up against each other yet? Rematch!

Debra was crap in Mad About Alice too, mind you everyone was, so that's not saying much. I think it's because I can't see her as anyone else but Shell Dockley though, she played that part so well.
Good to see she's not being typecast though...

Debra was crap in Mad About Alice ... I think that was material/direction. That or being in the vicinity of Mandy Holden. Frankie reminds me a bit of Deb's character in MAA, there's something vaguely sticommy about the sentiment in her performance. Last night when she came out of the kitchen and hugged Danny, I was expecting the live audience to start whooping. She's never going to get over Shell though, is she? How can you top a character who rode a giant dildo, doing a Minelli pastiche?

'Fraid I'm not at all sold on Frankeeee (Do you remember me?). She seems a little bit shrill, cockney and faintly pathetic: a little outpost of Eastenders marooned up north, if you will.
If she is going to stay the course then she'll have to be given a better storyline than My man is cheating on me, since all that's going to do for her is make the viewers wish she'd bought waterproof mascara.
So, bitch fight with Karen on the cobbles followed by her shamelessly shagging Steve it is then. Either that or it's acting as Martin's rebound lady or unceremoniously robbing Craig/David of their virginity. Or perhaps not.

Were you guessing then or had you been reading spoilers?
Cause if not, bravo!

Ooh, is one (or more) of those things are going to happen? This must make me the King of narrative cliche prediction.
I haven't looked on a spoiler site for weeks, honest.
So come on then. Spoil me.

Shamelessly Shagging Steve.
At least, that's what I've heard -- it's something to do with the reason Karen leaves.
But don't you wish it was the David/Craig scenario?

As opposed to Desperately Doing Dev?
Or Blatantly Bonking Betty?
*Vomits so hard kidney falls out of mouth*
Imagine what Ulrika Jonson would make of the cradlesnatching, though. The fuss might almost make it worth it.

"Blatantly Bonking Betty"
That is the funniest thing i've heard all day!
Anyway, back to Frankie. I don't know what storyline they could do with her. And as someone said lets hope that the Baldwins don't turn into the Ferrerias of Weatherfield.
