There's another one back from the dead (well, in 'Enders leaving the Square for more than five minutes is death's closest relative).
Why is it that every single plot twist they come up with sounds like the bang of a coffin lid?

There's going to be a new Slater (not Belinda) too, isn't there?
I can't remember them having mentioned any off-screen family members. You'd think that on a show where "famerlee" is such an ongoing motif, they'd pay a bit more attention to continuity in that respect.
Ooo! Unless maybe the monks made him/her from the key, and fixed everyone's memories so they thought he/she had always been there...

Well today it moved away from "The Krays" but has decided to turn into "Grange Hill".
And who decided the best way to end today's show was:
Pauline: "Here Martin, here's a camera so you can go and look at some flats, I've changed my mind."
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOMBOOM BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM.

What frustrates me about 'Enders these days is that it has flashes of brilliance, but they're too few and far between. And this was last night's: DOT: ( to a cheeky young scamp) Oi! Aar dare you? If it wasn't for me, you'd be called Valerie. I try to find something admirable in everyone, but I admit I've drawn a blank with Pauline Fowler. The woman's a monster. EastEnders in my house has now become "let's see how many obscenities Pandarama can scream at Pauline in 28 minutes".

My favourite Wendy Satan Richards moment came in a Q&A piece on her which I had the misfortune to read in a Chinese takeaway.
What makes you sad? "The way the country's going (as in oh, if only the Tories were in power)
She's repellant.

Eastenders might be a bit shit just now, but things are starting to looking up...from digital spy
Another cast member leaves 'Enders 14:11 BST, Tuesday 17th August 2004 -- by James Welsh Scarlett Johnson - better known as Vicki Fowler to EastEnders fans - will be leaving the soap after two years, it was confirmed by the BBC today.
"I've had a really good two years," said Johnson, "enjoyed all the experiences but it's time to move on. Thank you to Louise Berridge and the cast and crew of EastEnders for all their support."
An EastEnders spokesperson thanked Johnson for her work on the soap and wished her "the very best of luck for the future."
so no more wheres the accent gone game then
