No problem. It's more that for so long, it's just been a couple of dozen of us chattering away here without anyone noticing so people could get away with a lot more. But people are starting to notice! (I have the lawyers' letters to prove it).

A colleague of mine knows someone who works at Cameron Mackintosh. Apparently they're fuming that Jessie didn't win...

HA! Good.
Do we think they've put more Jodie nights on because the non-Jodie nights aren't selling tickets? I hope so.

Jodie is on Loose Women today. Usually I get annoyed when someone wins a talent show then we find out they're pals with Joan Collins and have been around the business for years. However, I quite like the fact that Jodie and Colleen Nolan know each other from the Blackpool chippy queue! The Loose Women asked her if Cameron's comments about her being too big to play the role were true. She handled it well, but didn't say it wasn't! She said she's a size 14 but 'will probably lose a bit with all the rehearsals'. I imagine she feels a little pressurised to do so which is a real shame. With Burn Gorman confirmed as Sykes, I can understand them wanting Jessie. They'd have a look of a couple about them.

With Burn Gorman confirmed as Sykes, I can understand them wanting Jessie. They'd have a look of a couple about them. Burn is quite a small man, whereas Jodie looked reasonably statuesque as well as being buxom. But if they were prepared to write in an Irish Nancy, maybe they could add a few lines to explain that Bill Sikes has short man syndrome.

Jodie's on The Graham Norton Show tonight. Can I have this as my new avatar, or is that kicking the pirate's pegleg while she's down? Thankyou GB for this monumentally sane decision.

Feel free! You might have to crop her perm a bit though to get it to fit.

Jessie is releasing a solo album!
The tracklist is yet to be confirmed but she'll be recording the same songs that she sung on Nancy, but with a modern twist.
Pirate Weep, Jessie Cry Killing You Softly With This Song One Expression Only Why Do Fools Vote For Jodie Stop! The Part that Got Away Triter How Do I Act What I Did For Love The First Time Ever You Saw My Facial Expressions

Thank you David Hunter; have an exaltation for your trouble!
I'm guessing that Graham was a fan of Jodie from tonight's show. I get the feeling that he, DVO and Barrowman went out and got pissed after the show to celebrate her win.

That was so plausible I read it and mentally nodded before going back after seeing 'pirate' and questioning it.

I thought it was interesting when Jodie revealed they hadn't had access to any papers, the internet or betting odds while they were in the show, so they didn't have a clue who'd win.

Ah well. According to BBC North Sam is delighted to be back home singing at the TT. It's "a big part of her life." Srsly.
