Nadia has gone from the secound biggest outsider in the first week (only beaten by Ahmed) to the new favourite, just ahead of Dan and Stuart. Shell has dropped to fifth place, behind Michelle who has moved upto fourth. Victor, Becki, Ahmed and Jason are the outsiders, with odds increasing respectively.
So why has Nadia become so popular all of a sudden?

I noticed this, watching the E4 coverage yesterday. 50% of the test messages which flashed up on the bottom of the screen ended with Nadia to win!
I can't suggest why she's so popular with other people -- maybe it's because now Marco's out and there's such a big anti-Jason and Victor sentiment, the two dicks have inadvertently prompted a wave of support for Nadia? I'll be voting to keep her -- think how fantastic it would make Britain look if a transsexual won Big Brother.
Are you not a fan DB?

No I am, I just wanted people's opinions. It was an open question. I think part of it is the sympathy vote, especially with all the transexual talk that is going round. Twice in the last week the show has ended with a shot of Nadia looking sad after other HMs have been chatting about transexuals. That's got to stick in a few peoples' minds.
I'd love to see Nadia win, for the simple fact that she has a personality, and it would probably be a great step forward for the media if she did win. Imagine the headlines? Much more story worth than if Dan, Shell or Stuart were to win.

Nadia comes across as being the most honest of the bunch. Despite her not telling the housemates about her operation (why should she?) she still comes off the better - even if she is a bit bonkers. No, especially because she's bonkers!
She also has the best laugh ever heard, it makes her stand out - she's always happy. Now that Marco has gone it seems that she has noone to bounce off of though so she may become more of a Big Brother recluse.
I will add to the tidal wave of Nadia support. I've always wanted her to win and I still do.

Twice in the last week the show has ended with a shot of Nadia looking sad after other HMs have been chatting about transexuals. That's got to stick in a few peoples' minds. The betting expert on Digital Spy puts it down to exactly that, and goes further to suggest that as such her favour is likely to be short-lived and someone else will be flavour of the month soon. I think I'd quite like Nadia to win, partly because it would be cool for a transsexual lady to win, partly because her filthy laugh is worth the vote alone, and partly because if she doesn't, someone else has to, and I don't think anyone else (except possibly Shell or Michelle) really deserves to win.

Not sur if she'll go as far as winning but what has she really done to warrant the public voting her out.
She got less votes last week than Michelle did.

I think it's to do with the fact that people are seeing that there is a fragile, emotional side to Nadia. Watching her play out her torments reveals that she is a person with depth and feeling. The others all seem like game players pretending to be who they are not. Ironically, of course, Nadia is pretending to the whole house, but her reasons for doing so are to do with fear and rejection, and not a desire to win. Go Nadia! (nothing to do with the bet I have on her at 33/1 of course)

her reasons for doing so are to do with fear and rejection, and not a desire to win. It's not though. She knows the rest of the UK knows about her and that the other housemates will find out when they leave. She used it to get into the house. It would be more likely that she is using this to play up to the audience to gain the sympathy vote. Not that this matters, she still comes across as more sincere and likeable than the rest of the housemates. Particularly on other unrelated matters with which she does genuinely appear to get upset. Nadia to win!

I don't know how or why she got into the house, or whether she used her past any more than "Posh Shell" or "Camp Marco", but I tihnk there's a tendency to assume that she's playing the "sex change card" like some people play the race card or the gay card. I definitely don't agree that she's using it to play up to the audience - how can she? She hasn't initiated any of the conversations about sexuality or transgender people, she's just quietly reacted to them, and she doesn't talk about it in the diary room unless Big Brother asks her how she's feeling about those conversations. When Becki brought it up with her the first time, she said that it was her past and it wasn't a big deal. Nadia hasn't brought it up herself, even though there's now someone with whom it would be safe to do so. Wouldn't mind if she won, but still quietly loving Dan.
