Does anyone else understand the Jason & Sarah storyline in Corrie? He was all for the wedding, really excited and brushed off Charlie's talk of freedom etc without any of the usual pointers to doubt, such as instantly changing facial expression to camera, behind other character's back etc.
There was no indication of any doubt whatsoever, but the writers had him suddenly jump out of a toilet window? I don't get it. Did I miss something? If Charlie hadn't discovered him missing, I would have suspected he be behind it, but no. It seems we are to believe that Jason suddenly changed his mind and could not bring himself to tell anyone at all?
And don't registrars get everyone to turn their mobiles off during ceremonies?

He's an idiot. Sarah's an idiot. They have an ever-vacillating love hate relationship of the kind one only gets between slutty morons. It was written in the stars.

Where was she hiding her phone? It seemed to be buried somewhere in her bouquet. Most confusing.

Isn't Jason still in love with Violet?
I think it was more to do with his mum saying something like "Can't miss you getting married to the woman you love". He realised he didn't love Sarah so he ran?
Todd could have showed up or at least called, actually did they tell him about the wedding?

I don't think Todd would have been welcomed by Sarah really. It would have been more than a little uncomfortable. (Especially if he brought his new boyfriend, that Eileen mentioned after coming back from visiting him.)
Was there any change in his expression in response to Eileen saying that about the woman he loved though? And if he was still in love with Violet, I would have thought there would have been more scenes between the two of them (Jason and Violet). There's usually some hint to what's going to happen when these relationship storylines are done, but this one just seems to have been flung in willy nilly. (If Jason hadn't already been in the scene I would have wondered whether it was a hastily written scene like that wedding when Linda Baldwin was only heard behind a door and seen from the back as she ran out, because the actress had actually left unexpectedly)

It was a bit rubbish, wasn't it? I saw no change in Jason's behaviour, as he seemed totally committed to both Sarah and Bethany.
What was worse though, was the sudden turn around in Gail and Eileen. One moment they were the source of all the drama, then suddenly they were on the way to the wedding and being used for the comic relief in the back of the taxi. I know Corrie is good at merging the two, but this just didn't seem right. That bit was poorly scripted too.
EDIT: Todd did call to give Jason his blessing.

I was hoping for Nikki Sa... Candice to turn up for a duet with Bethany. It would have been fabulous.

I was expecting Candice to belt one out with Status Quo, or for Todd to appear and cause a commotion. There were two endings filmed, perhaps this one withthe text was just a dream. On the other hand Jason loves Violet, so it was inevitable really.
Another point - there was no way that they would have moved out the street and into a tower block. They would have had Martin's old flat at the very least.

Which reminds me, where was Martin? Liverpool is barely an hour away.

Which reminds me, where was Martin? Liverpool is barely an hour away. Oh my god! You're so right! Now I'm even more cross! I never thought of that! Did anyone mention him? I mean, I know he's not Sarah's real Dad, but really! He was in her life for years and she never changed her name back to Tilsley like Nick did, so she obviously liked him. Bad script-writers! This is unasseptable* behaviour! Go and sit on the naughty step and think about what you've done! One minute for every year of your life. *sic - Nanny Frost could teach them some respect!

I was really confused. they shot two endings to the episode .. if the church was a closed set then why? what about the following episode.. did they film two of them .. one with Sarah crying and not? are we supposed to believe the producers are still deciding which to go with right up to air date? i dont get any of this malarky. I never believe it when they say that they've shot two endings. Soaps run on a hard enough schedule without filming double, and it's all pointless unless they're going to do two different scenes containing the characters involved for all the shows filmed afterwards until the original show airs. Re: Martin - it's always been fucking stupid how they moved him just down the road when it would be obvious that he wouldn't be popping back much/ever. From Liverpool he'd be coming to see Daid & co most weekends.

This multiple versions business all started with the Brookside Jordache trial as far as I can remember. They definitely shot two versions of that - I've seen the other. But I dunno how that would have worked for future episodes - I think it's just to throw people off the scent of what will actually happen, rather than a real alternative storyline.
I can't remember there ever being a 'two versions shot' situation which hasn't ended up with the downbeat one being shown. I think it's just to give the viewers a little hope before dragging them back down (or vice-versa if you hate the characters involved.)

I wish we'd seen a little more of Jason without his shirt on. I think it would have helped me with the subtleties of the plot.

I never believe it when they say that they've shot two endings. No, the ending they go with is always the one that the press have already told you about. In fact the whole idea of "two endings" only ever comes up when a major plotline has been leaked and they want to create some sort of suspense. The Richard Hillman finale they reckoned they'd shot 4 endings, yet the one that was shown was the one where the car drove into the lake which every newspaper had been showing photos of for about a week previously. In fact Coronation Street is the main soap for this whole deluded notion.

This multiple versions business all started with the Brookside Jordache trial as far as I can remember. I can remember one, also in Brookside which pre-dates the Jordaches. They were supposed to have filmed multiple endings to the 'who pushed Sue Sullivan and baby Daniel off the scaffolding' story. They had a number of suspects all wearing the same clothes. In fact that reminds me of probably an even earlier one. Didn't they claim the same for the 'who's the father of Michelle's baby' in Eastenders? Given how badly the Corrie wedding storyline was, maybe they did hastily go with an 'alternative' version in this case!

It's just a lazy way of throwing the tabliods off the actual ending which they end up spoiling anyway. The last rumour is there's two ending to the big Hollyoaks explosion, despite being filmed weeks ago and would ruin about a month of filming. Silly soap PR people.

I'm beginning to suspect they're doing to Jason and Sarah-Lou what they did with Candice (as in the writers obviously think "What a pair of obnoxious twerps, let's rip the piss out of them").
I lived next door to Jason (Ryan) for a year, and Sarah-Lou was round all the time. They'd get pissed up and have enormous rows. We had very thin walls and my bedroom adjoined theirs. Eek.
There was one fringe benefit, however. Philip Olivier used to come round and sunbathe in the back garden. Sigh.

Some dizzy queen called Karl who got very antsy about the rubbish bedroom furniture he supplied getting damaged.
It's in Salford. I wouldn't recommend it.

They weren't that good. They had MFI knock-off written all over them in marker pen.
Which is probably why he took exception...

You DIDN'T. Klee, you never fail to make me actually laugh out loud (something that rarely happens as I stave off lesser attempts at humour with bored variations of "LOL" on MSN).
